Zootopia 2 had its premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on November 13. Early reviews from critics are overwhelmingly positive.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 94% score from 49 reviews, indicating strong approval. Critics have praised the movie for its engaging story, lively animation, and well-crafted action sequences.

Many have also highlighted that Disney has included more thoughtful social themes this time around, while still keeping the story fun and accessible for children.
Reviewers note that the sequel balances humor and heart, making it appealing to both younger audiences and adults.
They say the movie successfully builds on the first film while adding bigger adventures and exciting challenges for Judy and Nick. Overall, Zootopia 2 is being described as smart, entertaining, and emotionally satisfying, making it a strong continuation of the franchise.
The diverse environments lead to some dynamic action scenes the animators designed with complexity to take advantage of unique conditions. Judy and Nick get the sequel treatment that Lethal Weapon or Bad Boys franchises do by ramping up their adventure.

The good news is that Disney has tried to be even more thoughtful and nuanced with its oppression metaphors this time around. The bad news is that the Mouse House also seems less invested in Zootopia as an artistic effort.

ZOOTOPIA2 is FUR-ociously funny and PAWS-itively heartwarming. The Disney Animation team have delivered a wildly smart and outstanding sequel that’s well worth the wait.

Not terribly ambitious as a sequel, but thoroughly entertaining and fast-paced. Kids will love it and there’s enough in-jokes and sly references to keep adults engaged, too.

On the strength of its sensitivities, Zootopia 2 is applause-worthy on multiple levels… The bunny-and-fox cops leave no doubts, this udderly human and hilarious harpooning of societal ills is the G.O.A.T. of 21st-century fables.
