The 1923 Season 2 finale has set a brand new viewership record for Taylor Sheridan’s popular Yellowstone spinoff. The show, which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, follows Jacob and Cara Dutton as they protect their ranch in Montana.

After premiering in 2022, 1923 returned for its second season earlier this year. The season finale, which aired earlier this month, may have marked the end of the series—and it ended on a high note.

Paramount Global revealed that the 1923 Season 2 finale was watched 14 million times in just one week. That’s a big jump from the Season 1 finale, which had 10 million views. Overall, Season 2 saw a 46% increase in viewers compared to Season 1.

The show also did very well on social media. Season 2 reached 163 million views online, compared to only 21 million for Season 1. That’s eight times more!

1923 is now one of the top three global shows on Paramount+, joining Landman and Tulsa King—both also created by Taylor Sheridan.

Paramount Global explained that its viewer count is based on total watch time divided by the show’s run time. So, the 14 million figure is an estimate of how many people actually watched, similar to how Netflix counts views.
