What are the most common minion names?
While most minions in the movies and across all forms of media have unique names, Kevin Stuart and Bob are the most famous due to being the stars in the film ‘Minions’ released in 2015, and the sequel ‘Minions: Rise of Gru’ in 2022.
Why aren’t there any female minions?
You’ve probably noticed that absolutely every single minion in the franchise is male. This was decided early in the development process and the creators just stuck with it till this day. Pierre Coffin actually explained why he chose that Minions would be strictly male:
Seeing how dumb and stupid they often are, I just couldn’t imagine Minions being girls.
The Wrap
There’s also the fact that the Minions’ design is simple and uniform, with slight variations in height, eye size, and number of eyes. Introducing female Minions might require design changes, which could complicate their depiction and potentially detract from their iconic, easily recognizable appearance.
