Only two weeks remain until the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ the MCU’s sole movie of the year. This film is significant for several reasons. Firstly, it introduces Deadpool into the MCU, after his tenure in Fox’s X-Men franchise. It also marks the MCU’s first R-rated movie, representing a major milestone for mutants in this universe.

Moreover, this movie aims to rekindle the enthusiasm fans once had for the MCU. Following a series of box-office flops and lackluster projects, early projections indicate that ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ could be Disney’s most profitable film of the year, potentially even surpassing ‘Inside Out 2.’

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are currently on a press tour promoting the movie. At an event in London, the first 30+ minutes of footage were shown, and the initial reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Critics noted that Disney has not restrained Reynolds or his portrayal of Deadpool.

Despite the abundance of promotional materials, such as images, trailers, and short videos, it seems these have been cleverly crafted to avoid giving away any major plot points. Audiences can also expect significant changes to the MCU landscape.

The absence of any negative feedback so far is an excellent sign for the movie. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for more in-depth reviews when the social media and review embargo lifts. Audiences can catch the movie in theaters worldwide starting July 26.
