Loki and Sylvie’s Roles in MCU’s ‘Multiverse Saga’ Reportedly Unveiled
The Loki TV show became an unexpectedly massive hit following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga. Across two seasons, we’ve watched this Loki variant evolve from a villain into a selfless hero.
If you’ve been keeping up with the latest season, you’re likely aware that the God of Mischief has now transformed into the God of Stories within the MCU. Loki has dismantled the TVA, redefined its purpose, and taken control of the Multiverse.
The timelines are no longer being erased to preserve the integrity of the Sacred Timeline, and variants are no longer being pruned. This likely means that every inhabitant of the Multiverse now has true free will.
Loki currently maintains the branches of the Multiverse through his power alone, and given the heroic yet bittersweet nature of his self-sacrifice, fans are speculating whether he might return to the MCU.
As we navigate through the Multiverse Saga, it’s no surprise that Loki is poised to play a significant role. In a recent August Discord Q&A, industry insider Alex Perez confirmed that Loki will indeed have a central role in the Multiverse Saga.
Loki will be at the center of it all. Sylvie will also be there, but her role will be comparable to Black Widow in Infinity War and Endgame (I’m not saying she’s dying folks).
The last we saw of Sylvie, she survived the multiversal fallout along with most of the TVA and was presumably planning to hunt down the Kang variants, including Ravonna Renslayer, who remains in the Void.
However, with Kang no longer the main villain of the Multiverse Saga— a role now assigned to RDJ’s Doctor Doom—Sylvie’s and Ravonna’s storylines could become a bit unclear. This is an issue that Perez also touched upon.
That is the question, isn’t it? Last I heard, she was going to be brought back. But that was when her role was sizeable against Kang. Now, I’m not 100% sure.
