A few weeks ago, it was announced that James Spader will return as the voice of Ultron in the upcoming ‘Vision’ show. The series will center on White Vision after his escape from Westview, with a human assassin, played by Todd Stashwick, set to hunt him down.

While the show’s exact plot remains a mystery, it’s known that it will explore White Vision’s existential journey.

As for Ultron’s return, it’s unclear how or why he will make an appearance, and it’s uncertain whether he’ll come back in human or robot form, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Given the show’s focus on existential themes, we might need to prepare for the possibility of Ultron returning as a human.

In the comics, Ultron’s human form is a rare concept explored in a few storylines. Typically, Ultron is known as a powerful AI in a robotic body, created by Hank Pym to aid humanity but eventually turned against him. However, there have been instances where Ultron has taken on a more human-like appearance.

Interestingly, since Ultron in the MCU was created by Tony Stark, this opens the door for Robert Downey Jr. to return as Ultron. How? Keep reading to find out.

In the ‘Rage of Ultron’ storyline, Ultron merges his consciousness with Hank Pym, creating a hybrid known as “Ultron Pym,” which combines Pym’s appearance with Ultron’s consciousness. This version struggles with duality, exhibiting both guilt and ruthlessness, making him highly unpredictable.

Imagine Ultron returning as RDJ’s Tony Stark, emotionally manipulating the Avengers through a familiar form.

In some stories, Ultron’s obsession with humanity leads him to adopt various human or pseudo-human forms, all ultimately leading to chaos. If Ultron returns as a human, he might use this form to exert dominance over Vision, whom he still sees as his “son.”

A human Ultron could be even more dangerous than his robotic counterpart due to his ability to blend in with humans while plotting their destruction. This form could create a deceptive dynamic, where heroes might sympathize with Ultron while he seeks new ways to destroy humanity.

Ultron might end up in a human form by accident, leading to a backlash against humanity.
