It Appears that Dafne Keen is Lying About her MCU Return as Laura/X-23 Again

Deadpool & Wolverine has brought back many familiar faces from Fox’s X-Men franchise, and it’s these exciting cameos that have helped the movie break box-office records.

One of the most eagerly awaited returns was Dafne Keen, reprising her role as Laura, aka X-23, from the 2017 film Logan.

We now know that Feige hinted the mutant era in the MCU begins with Deadpool & Wolverine, and many fans love Dafne Keen’s portrayal of X-23. Some even believe she could take over as the MCU’s main Wolverine.

There have also been insider reports saying that Keen will return in future projects. During the marketing for Deadpool & Wolverine, Keen repeatedly lied to the press and fans, saying she wasn’t in the movie—something some call “Andrew Garfield syndrome.”

When her role was eventually revealed, Keen admitted she enjoyed keeping the secret. But in a recent interview with The Wrap, when asked about her potential return, Keen claimed she hadn’t had any discussions with the studio about it.

Genuinely, I’m not lying. No, I have not been involved in any conversations. Hopefully there have been conversations! I have no idea.

Even if this is true, Keen’s return will likely happen in Secret Wars, which is still a long way from production. However, Keen did mention that she would love the chance to work with Jackman again.

I’ve gotten so much from Hugh, and I owe my entire career to him, and I owe so much of who I am as an actor to him, even just aside from the opportunities that that’s given me, just how I conduct myself on set is completely, completely his doing. I think having such an incredible role model to look up to is the greatest thing he’s ever given me.

In my mind, they’ve teamed up, and they’re like a dream team, they both get on each other’s nerves. She adores him. They have this incredible multi-dimensional connection because they’re the same person, and they’re out there fighting for justice, in my head, alongside their yappy friend, Deadpool.
