Mark Ruffalo, the actor behind Marvel’s Hulk, recently shared his opinion on a debate that fans have been having for years: who would win in a fight between Hulk and Superman.

During an interview on the show We’re Not Kidding with Mehdi Hasan, Ruffalo didn’t hesitate to pick his champion. “Hulk,” he said simply when asked.

Ruffalo also talked about the Red Hulk, who is set to appear in Captain America: Brave New World, played by Harrison Ford.

He made it clear that even the Red Hulk wouldn’t defeat his version of the green giant. “No one beats the Hulk. Not even the Red Hulk,” he said, adding that he has a lot of respect for Ford.

Fans may wonder why Ruffalo believes Hulk could defeat Superman, given the Man of Steel’s incredible speed, strength, and other powers.

The actor explained that Hulk’s strength grows with his anger. In theory, the angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes, making him potentially unstoppable in a prolonged battle. This unlimited power boost, combined with his durability, is what gives Hulk the edge in Ruffalo’s view.

Ruffalo’s comments also highlight the actor’s connection to the character he has played for years. He has often emphasized that Hulk is not just about raw strength, but also about resilience and persistence, qualities that could make him a formidable opponent even against someone as powerful as Superman.

This debate is fun for fans of both universes. While Superman has nearly unmatched abilities, Hulk’s limitless strength and rage could realistically give him a fighting chance. I’d love to see a comic or animated showdown exploring this matchup. What do you think, would Hulk really take down Superman? Share your thoughts in the comments.
