‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Drops a Sleek New Infinity Vision Teaser as the Countdown Heats Up
With just over 2 months until release, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is shaping up to be the biggest event film of the year. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film brings together heroes from 3 distinct universes as they face an existential threat unlike anything they have encountered before.
At the center of it all is Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, with the Avengers, Wakandans, New Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men converging amid the collapse of the multiverse. Marvel has kept anticipation high by steadily releasing teasers, including earlier glimpses of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and a reunion of Ian McKellen’s Magneto and Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier.
Now the studio has dropped another short teaser, this time built entirely around its premium screening format. Shared online on October 9, the roughly 30-second clip spotlights Infinity Vision and reminds fans that tickets are already on sale.
The new promo features shimmering blue and purple visuals, with the Infinity Vision title placed front and center. On-screen text confirms the film arrives in cinemas on December 18 and that tickets can be purchased now.
Rather than revealing new story footage, the teaser works as a sleek reminder of how Marvel wants audiences to experience the film. It focuses on spectacle and atmosphere instead of plot details.

Disney first announced Infinity Vision at CinemaCon in April. Rather than new technology, it is a certification for Premium Large Format theaters that meet strict technical standards.
According to Bloomberg, certified screens must be at least 50 feet wide, use laser projection, and feature Dolby 7.1 surround sound. Marvel has promoted the format as offering bigger, brighter, and more immersive screens.
Loki composer Natalie Holt also created a new score for the Infinity Vision opening sequence. A behind-the-scenes video showed her recording it with a live orchestra. Many commentators believe Infinity Vision was created partly in response to a scheduling clash. ‘Dune: Part Three’ opens on the same day as ‘Doomsday’ and holds IMAX screens exclusively for 3 weeks.

That left Marvel without access to IMAX for its release week. By rebranding the best available premium screens, Disney aims to give fans a comparable experience for the crossover event.
Some critics have questioned the strategy. The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd predicted the brand might disappear after the film’s release. Disney re-released ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in September as the first title in the Infinity Vision program. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be the first brand-new film to carry the certification.
Marvel originally unveiled the format alongside the film’s first full trailer, which also came with a direct link for fans to buy Infinity Vision tickets. The new teaser continues that push toward premium screenings.
Ticket demand suggests fans are ready. Worldwide presales reportedly crossed $100 million earlier this week, with early sales running well ahead of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.
With premium screens reportedly driving much of the demand, Infinity Vision appears to be paying off so far. Its real test will come when the film opens in December. Beyond Downey, the film features Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Danny Ramirez, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Tenoch Huerta Mejia. James Marsden also returns as Cyclops alongside McKellen and Stewart.
As December approaches, Marvel is expected to keep releasing promos to build excitement. For now, the latest teaser makes one thing clear: the studio wants fans watching on the biggest screen possible.
