Netflix Unleashes New Trailer for ‘Troll 2’
The upcoming Norwegian monster movie Troll 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 1. Directed by Roar Uthaug, the film is the sequel to Troll and has been described as the largest film production ever in the Nordic countries.
The movie was shot in several locations, including Trondheim, Maridalen, Jotunheimen, and Budapest.
Screenwriter Espen Aukan explained that the team chose Budapest for some scenes because it was hard to find the right locations in Norway. Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud from Motion Blur served as producers on the project.

Troll 2 features a cast led by Ine Marie Wilmann as Nora, Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen as Andreas Isaksen, and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen as Captain Kristoffer “Kris” Holm. Other actors include Sara Khorami, Jon Ketil Johnsen, Gard B. Eidsvold, Aksel Almaas, and Trond Magnum.
Fans got their first glimpse of the film earlier this year when the first promotional clip was released in January. Netflix followed up with the first teaser trailer in June, showing glimpses of the creatures and the dramatic Nordic landscapes that play a big role in the story.
With its mix of Norwegian scenery and large-scale production, Troll 2 promises to be an exciting follow-up to the original. It combines monster action with striking visuals, making it one of the most ambitious films to come out of the region.
