Rumors Tease Storyline and Cast Details for Upcoming ‘Descendants’ Trilogy
Disney is expanding the Descendants universe with a new film and an upcoming trilogy. The next movie, titled Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in summer 2026.
It continues the story from Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024) and marks the fifth installment in the popular franchise.
The film brings back Kylie Cantrall as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Malia Baker as Chloe Charming, the daughter of Cinderella and King Charming. Leonardo Nam returns as Maddox Hatter, Red’s tutor and the son of the Mad Hatter. Fans can also expect new characters, including Liamani Segura as Pink, Red’s younger sister, Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal, Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook, Joel Oulette as Robbie Hood, and Zavien Garrett as Felix Facilier. Ryan McEwen and Dayton Paradis play the twin sons of Mr. Smee, Squirmy and Squeaky. Returning familiar faces include Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Brandy as Cinderella, and Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother.
Now BeyondReporter reports that the new Descendants Trilogy will focus on two young love interests: Princess Tatum Roger, daughter of Tiana, and Fraiser Rider, the son of Flynn Rider, whose mother is revealed to be a villain.

Principal photography for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland took place at The Bridge Studios in Vancouver from April to May.
The upcoming movie promises new adventures, magic, and challenges for the next generation of Disney villains and heroes. It will be available in summer 2026 for audiences on Disney Channel and Disney+.
