The first look at the final season of The Boys was shown at CCXP in São Paulo, and the trailer makes it clear that the team is in their toughest situation yet.

According to the trailer shown at the event, America is now under Homelander’s control after the fallout of season four. The world is tense, the public is scared, and even the government seems to be working under his thumb, with Ashley Barrett now acting as his press secretary.

In one moment highlighted in the trailer, Billy Butcher tries to motivate the group as everything around them falls apart.

He tells them, “You wouldn’t be the first throwing your life away in a war, but you would be the first saving the world doing it.” It’s a reminder that the fight ahead is dangerous, but it also shows how desperate their mission has become.

The release date was also confirmed. The final season begins on April 8, 2026. Two episodes will drop on that day, and the series will wrap up on May 20, 2026.

This last chapter of the show is being developed by Eric Kripke and produced by Sony Pictures Television along with several partner studios. It continues the story based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

Most of the main cast is returning, including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Jensen Ackles. Daveed Diggs is joining the cast for the first time.
