‘Shrinking’ Season 3 Trailer: Michael J. Fox Returns, Jokes About Parkinson’s with Harrison Ford
The trailer for Season 3 of Apple TV+’s comedy Shrinking shows Michael J. Fox returning to acting after stepping away in 2020 due to speech challenges from his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
In the trailer, Fox appears in a medical waiting room next to Dr. Paul Rhoades, played by Harrison Ford. “What are you in for?” Fox’s character asks. “Parkinson’s. You?” Paul replies. Fox then quips dryly, “A haircut,” and the two share a laugh.

Ford’s character has been dealing with Parkinson’s since the first season. At first, he tried to hide his condition, but over time he has had to confront the disease openly.
Fox’s involvement in Shrinking was announced in May. The role reunites him with series creator Bill Lawrence. Fox previously starred in Lawrence’s ABC sitcom Spin City for four seasons before leaving in 2000 due to Parkinson’s-related issues. He also appeared in a memorable guest arc on Lawrence’s show Scrubs.
The Season 3 trailer highlights both humor and heart as Fox and Ford bring their characters together, showing that the series continues to balance comedy with real-life challenges.
Season 3 returns January 28, 2026.
