Bella Ramsey is not closing the door on becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, they say the idea is still very much alive.

The actor, known for roles in Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, has once again shared interest in playing Spider-Man.

Speaking to Variety during the Critics Choice Awards 2026, Ramsey confirmed they are still open to taking on the role if the chance ever comes up. The outlet reported that Ramsey made it clear the idea has not changed since they first mentioned it last year.

Ramsey first talked about Marvel in an interview with Variety’s Marc Malkin at the HBO Emmy nominees event last summer.

At the time, they were asked if they had spoken to their The Last of Us co-star Pedro Pascal about possibly joining the MCU, since Pascal recently joined Marvel as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Ramsey responded with a surprising idea, saying, “I don’t know about that. I could be Spider-Man.”

They were quick to praise the current Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland, and admitted the role might need a new twist. “Tom Holland did a great job though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey also shared that they only recently started watching Marvel movies. Their first one was an Andrew Garfield Spider-Man film, which they saw just months before the interview. “It was the first time I watched a Marvel film,” they said, calling the experience “incredible” and adding, “I loved it.”

While nothing has been confirmed by Marvel, Ramsey’s comments show real interest and excitement. They also joked about wanting to work with Pedro Pascal again, suggesting a very different kind of project. “I think maybe like a heist movie where we’re robbing a bank together,” they said.
