Ariana Grande Calls on Fans to Report ICE Concerns to Senators
Pop icon Ariana Grande has added her voice to the chorus of celebrities denouncing the recent actions of federal immigration agents, taking to Instagram to provide her millions of followers with a direct toolkit for political action.
On Monday, January 26, the Wicked star shared a series of detailed slides to her Instagram Story, urging fans to contact their senators regarding the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The guide included a pre-written script to ensure callers hit key talking points, specifically focusing on the recent fatal shootings in Minneapolis.
In addition to the legislative call to action, Grande publicized a specific New York City deportation defense hotline. She urged anyone witnessing federal enforcement actions to document the scene safely and report it immediately.
Snap a picture or call or text in, the guide instructed, emphasizing the need for people to provide as much specific information as possible. By sharing these resources, the singer aimed to turn digital engagement into real-world protection for vulnerable communities.
The singer’s post follows a wave of national outrage after the death of Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who was killed by federal agents in Minnesota over the weekend. This incident, coming just weeks after the shooting of Renee Nicole Good, has sparked a massive #ICEOut movement across social media and the entertainment industry. Grande, who has been a frequent critic of the current administration’s immigration policies, used her platform to ensure her audience knew exactly how to voice their dissent to elected officials.

This isn’t the first time Grande has made her political stance clear; she has a long history of advocating for voting rights and social justice. In late 2025, she made headlines for a fiery Instagram post challenging the conduct of President Trump’s supporters, using blunt language to describe what she viewed as systemic misconduct.
She also previously joined forces with organizations like HeadCount to register thousands of young voters, framing the act of voting as a necessary tool for protecting transgender rights and reproductive healthcare.

Other major stars have recently joined the same cause, particularly during the 2026 awards season and the Sundance Film Festival. Mark Ruffalo, Natasha Lyonne, and Olivia Wilde were all spotted wearing “ICE Out” and “Be Good” lapel pins on red carpets to honor the victims of recent federal shootings.
During the Golden Globes earlier this month, Grande herself prominently displayed an “ICE Out” pin during the live broadcast, signaling her alignment with the ACLU-backed campaign to demand accountability for federal law enforcement.
Outside of her activism, Ariana Grande is currently navigating a massive career shift as she balances her pop stardom with a booming film career. She recently earned back-to-back award nominations for her role as Glinda in the two-part Wicked film adaptation, with the sequel Wicked: For Good continuing to dominate the cultural conversation. In addition to the Land of Oz, she has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Meet the Parents sequel, Focker In-Law, alongside Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller.
Do you think that celebrities sharing specific scripts and hotlines is a more effective form of activism than just posting general statements of support? Share your thoughts in the comments.
