Dakota Johnson and Lily Allen Dazzle in Glam at Valentino’s Star-Studded Show
Paris Haute Couture Week hit a dramatic high point at Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2026 show, and all eyes were on Dakota Johnson and Lily Allen. Following the passing of the brand’s legendary founder Valentino Garavani, the fashion house’s latest collection drew a star-studded crowd, but Johnson and Allen quickly stole the spotlight.
Lily Allen embraced a bold, colorful look that many called Flintstones-core. She paired a rust-orange silk pussy-bow blouse with an emerald-green velvet midi skirt. The blouse’s boxy shoulders and billowing sleeves balanced the slim silhouette of the skirt, while a large black velvet bow at the collar added extra flair. Allen finished the outfit with a moss-green Valentino Garavani DeVain bag and a layered, 1960s-inspired beehive hairstyle with a deliberately undone, modern twist.
Seated next to Allen, Dakota Johnson went for a completely different kind of daring. She wore black semi-sheer lace hot pants under floral-printed tights, layered two leopard-print blouses tied with delicate bows, and topped it with a dark brown metallic jacket featuring gilded shimmer and feather-trimmed cuffs. Johnson also brought back the 2010-era Valentino Rockstud Stilettos, giving a nod to the brand’s Y2K legacy.

For Allen, the Valentino appearance comes amid a major career upswing. Her 2025 album West End Girl has earned over 150 million streams, solidifying her comeback as a sharp and vulnerable storyteller. Allen is preparing for a headline tour across the UK and Ireland this June, and fans are buzzing about a potential West End musical adaptation of her new album, a project she hinted at during a recent Saturday Night Live appearance, which also featured a surprise cameo from Johnson.
Johnson herself is gearing up for a busy 2026. She stars in Colleen Hoover’s thriller Verity. Johnson has recently become a brand ambassador for Valentino under Alessandro Michele, a partnership that has allowed her to fully embrace eclectic and maximalist fashion choices on the global stage.
As Valentino moves forward without Garavani, the bold style choices of stars like Allen and Johnson highlight a shift from quiet elegance to a louder, more experimental aesthetic. Their looks suggest that maximalism and risk-taking may define the house’s next era.
