Halle Berry, 59, Steals The Spotlight With A Bold Latex Skirt Look On The Tonight Show
Halle Berry is having her year of “the reveal,” both in fashion and her personal life. During a stunning appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, February 5, the 59-year-old Oscar winner turned heads in a sleek ensemble that perfectly blended elegance with a modern edge.
She arrived on set wearing a deep-blue chiffon blouse featuring a narrow keyhole cutout, paired with a form-fitting, glossy black latex skirt that highlighted her timeless silhouette. While the outfit was certainly a talking point, the real highlight came when Berry addressed long-standing rumors about her relationship with musician Van Hunt.
After six years of dating, there had been whispers that she had turned down a marriage proposal, but the actress was quick to set the record straight. She humorously informed the audience that there was some confusion regarding the situation and confirmed that she had indeed accepted his proposal.
Though a wedding date hasn’t been set, Berry proudly displayed a fabulous engagement ring, jokingly telling Fallon that Hunt did put a little ring on it. The host, visibly impressed by the size of the diamond, quipped back about the “little” stone.
This marks a joyful new chapter for Berry, who has spoken candidly in the past about her journey to find a soulmate, eventually calling Hunt the love of my life. This late-night appearance is just one stop in a major fashion marathon for the actress, who also recently sat down with The Cut for a high-concept photoshoot.
In those images, Berry channeled a bold aesthetic, wearing a burgundy Tom Ford skirt suit from the Spring/Summer collection. The outfit, designed by Haider Ackermann, featured a long-sleeved jacket and pencil skirt completely covered in circular cutouts, creating a daring “Swiss cheese” effect that only Berry could pull off with such effortless grace.
As of February, Halle Berry is at the center of the Hollywood spotlight for more than just her wardrobe. She is currently promoting her high-octane heist thriller, Crime 101, which is set to hit theaters on February 13.
Directed by Bart Layton and adapted from a Don Winslow novella, the film features an incredible ensemble cast including Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan. In the film, Berry plays a disillusioned insurance broker who finds herself caught between a relentless detective and an elusive jewel thief.
Beyond the big screen, Berry has been expanding her influence as a producer and entrepreneur, continuing to advocate for women’s health and menopause awareness through her platform, Respin.
She is also rumored to be in talks for a lead role in the upcoming psychological drama Fleur, which is expected to begin production later this year. Between her upcoming blockbuster release and her newfound status as a bride-to-be, Berry is proving that her “second act” is her most powerful one yet.
Do you think Halle Berry’s decision to finally accept Van Hunt’s proposal after six years shows that she has finally found the “person she should have married all along,” as she recently suggested? Share your thoughts in the comments.
