Monica Bellucci, 61, Flaunts Her Curves in a Daring Black Gown at the 2026 BAFTAs
Monica Bellucci was a vision of elegance at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards in London. She attended the event at the Royal Festival Hall and impressed onlookers in an off-the-shoulder black gown by Stella McCartney.
To complete her look, she wore a Cartier High Jewelry necklace from the En Équilibre collection, featuring diamonds and an asymmetrical arrangement of sapphires. The piece had first been shown in Stockholm in May 2025, according to the New York Times.

Bellucci has been a longtime ambassador for Cartier, and she spoke to Vogue Scandinavia about her connection to fine jewelry. “Each time I wear Cartier pieces it feels like stepping into a timeless moment,” she said. “High Jewelry is for me about emotion and memory, those moments stay with you.”
She added, “To me, jewelry is a form of identity that can be feminine and powerful. There is a kind of seduction when you wear jewelry… When I was a teenager, I would see my mother and grandmother preparing to go out, and their final touch was jewelry. They would look proud and feminine wearing them. It is those moments that shaped my interest in jewelry.”
Bellucci has a long history of wearing iconic Cartier pieces at major events. In 2006, she wore the MarÃa Félix crocodile necklace at Cannes, becoming the only woman other than Félix to do so. In 2019, she returned to Cannes with another Cartier creation that paid tribute to the same famous necklace, featuring 46.45 carats of diamonds and emeralds.
While Bellucci was not nominated for an award at this year’s BAFTAs, she attended to present an award, continuing her reputation as a red carpet style icon.
Monica Bellucci’s appearance combined sophistication and glamour perfectly. Her black gown and bold jewelry choice showed confidence and elegance. What do you think about her look and the Cartier necklace? Share your thoughts in the comments.
