While visiting the Today show, the hosts asked if she had packed warm clothes for the freezing weather after flying in from Miami. During her appearance, she spoke about American Heart Month alongside Octavia Spencer. The cause is personal for her because she helps care for her mother, who deals with high blood pressure. She explained, I have a very important message that I didn’t want to miss. My mother has been struggling, and I make her get the test every year. She used her platform to encourage regular health screenings and raise awareness about heart risks.
Vergara is also enjoying strong momentum in her acting career. She recently received an Emmy nomination for her role in the Netflix series Griselda, where she played the powerful drug trafficker known as the “Godmother of Cocaine.” The role marked a big shift from her long-running comedy work on Modern Family. Speaking about the transformation, she said, I wanted my real-life persona to disappear.
