Season 4 of ‘The White Lotus’ Promises More Drama With New Cast Revealed
Filming for the fourth season of HBO’s hit dark-comedy series The White Lotus is set to begin next month in France, with locations in the South of France and Paris. The new season will follow the familiar format, focusing on hotel guests and staff over the course of a week, this time at a French branch of the fictional luxury hotel chain.
HBO has announced that French actors Vincent Cassel, Corentin Fila, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz will join the cast. The three are expected to play locals or hotel employees, following the pattern of supporting characters who have stood out in past seasons.
Cassel, a César Award winner for Mesrine and known for films such as Ocean’s series and Jason Bourne, is returning to HBO after his appearance in Westworld. Fila, known for Being 17 and Escort Boys, and Tereszkiewicz, recognized for Forever Young and Heads or Tails, are both represented by leading French agencies.
The new French actors join an ensemble that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, and Chris Messina. Other returning and newly announced stars for season four include Sandra Bernhard, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, AJ Michalka, and Dylan Ennis, who may also play a local character given his French-Jamaican background. Casting is still ongoing.
Previous seasons of The White Lotus were set in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand. Only a few actors, including Jennifer Coolidge, Jon Gries, and Natasha Rothwell, have appeared in multiple seasons. Supporting roles in past seasons, such as those played by Murray Bartlett, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Lisa, have often become fan favorites, and HBO expects the new French actors to make a similar impact.
Season four will be written and directed by series creator Mike White, with executive producers White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine overseeing production. For Cassel, this is a rare TV role, adding to his film-heavy career that includes projects like Apple TV+’s Liaison and Netflix’s Fiasco.
Fans are already excited to see how the French setting will influence the show’s story and dynamics. The addition of Cassel, Fila, and Tereszkiewicz promises to bring fresh energy and complexity to the ensemble, and anticipation is growing as filming draws near.
Bringing in strong French talent adds a new layer of excitement and authenticity to The White Lotus. The change in setting could give the show fresh storylines while keeping the sharp humor and tension fans love.
