Production for Season 2 took place from February to July 2025 in New York. Dario Scardapane leads as showrunner, while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead serve as lead directors. Other directors for episodes include Solvan Naim, Angela Barnes, and Iain B. MacDonald.

Cox is joined by a returning cast, including Vincent D’Onofrio as Fisk, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Tony Dalton. The second season also welcomes Krysten Ritter to the ensemble.
The series has undergone some major changes since its announcement. Initially, Born Again was planned as an 18-episode first season. After filming started, Marvel Studios decided to split the episodes into two seasons and brought in Scardapane, Benson, and Moorhead to revamp the series.
