Vin Diesel provided one of the most lighthearted and unexpected moments of the iHeartRadio Music Awards with a little help from the front row. On Thursday night, March 26, the 58-year-old action star took the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood to present a special honor to his longtime friend and Fast & Furious collaborator.

The atmosphere was celebratory as Diesel prepared to hand over the Landmark Award to Ludacris, but a technical hiccup briefly stalled the proceedings. Upon reaching the podium, the actor appeared visibly disoriented by the stage setup, struggling to locate his scripted remarks.

“I literally can’t see the teleprompter. Where is it?! There? It’s over there? It’s in the middle!” he exclaimed to the laughing audience. Taylor Swift, who was seated in the front row, quickly jumped in to assist the star by pointing directly over her head toward the correct screen.

Diesel quickly caught the gesture and offered a warm thank you to the singer before continuing with the presentation. The mishap didn’t overshadow the significance of the moment for Ludacris, who also served as the evening’s host and a featured performer.

While accepting the prestigious award, the rapper and actor took a moment to reflect on his 25-year career and the team that supported his journey. “This particular award is one of those things where I work hard, but I absolutely don’t do it myself,” Ludacris told the crowd during his acceptance speech.

He also teased that his hiatus from the recording studio is officially coming to an end. “I thank y’all for 25 years. I’m coming back with new music,” he added, sparking a massive cheer from the fans in attendance. Outside of the awards circuit, Diesel has been deeply immersed in the final chapters of the high-octane franchise that defined his career.

The actor recently confirmed that screenwriter Michael Lesslie has been tapped to pen the script for the eleventh and final main installment, titled Fast Forever. The upcoming finale is expected to return the series to its street-racing roots in Los Angeles and is currently slated for a theatrical release on March 17, 2028.

In the meantime, Diesel is preparing for the launch of Riddick: Furya, the fourth chapter in his cult-favorite sci-fi series. Principal photography for the film took place throughout late 2025 across Germany and Spain, and the project is currently in the post-production phase with a tentative release window for early 2027.

Beyond his film work, Diesel has been increasingly active in expanding the Fast universe into other ventures, including a new high-tech roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.

He recently starred in a Super Bowl promo for the “Hollywood Drift” attraction, which is designed to mimic the practical stunts seen in the movies. As he balances these massive commercial ventures with the emotional task of closing out a two-decade saga, the actor remains a central figure in Hollywood’s landscape.
