New Body Cam Video Shows Details of Alan Ritchson’s (43) Tennessee Fight Situation
Newly surfaced body camera footage has provided a deeper look into the ongoing neighborhood dispute involving actor Alan Ritchson. The video, released this week, captures Tennessee police officers interviewing both the Reacher star and his neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, following a physical altercation in their Brentwood community.
Ritchson, appearing visibly shaken and sporting a bloodied elbow, expressed immediate concern regarding the legal ramifications of the encounter. “Obviously, my life is a very high-stakes one, very public, so I think I need my attorney,” Ritchson is heard telling the responding officers.
The actor insisted that he was acting in self-defense after being targeted while riding his motorcycle. He specifically questioned whether police had seen the full extent of the neighbor’s alleged aggression, asking, “Did he cut out the part where he shoved me off the bike?”

Ritchson further claimed that the neighbor had initiated the contact after he tried to depart the scene without incident. “You would have seen him shoving me off my bike after I tried to leave peacefully,” he noted, while calling for a toxicology report on Taylor.
The actor expressed a deep sense of unease regarding his family’s safety in the area, stating, “I feel unsafe with my kids going out in the neighborhood.” On the other side of the dispute, Taylor was captured in the footage becoming visibly emotional while recounting his version of the afternoon.
He claimed he was simply trying to maintain safety in the neighborhood by asking a speeding motorcyclist to slow down. According to Taylor, the confrontation escalated only after the rider hit his brakes and fell. “He gets up and starts wailing on me,” Taylor told the officers through tears, adding that he did not attempt to fight back.
While the footage has reignited public debate over the incident, Brentwood authorities officially closed the investigation in late March without filing any charges. Investigators ultimately ruled that Ritchson had acted in self-defense, a decision supported by additional chest-cam footage that appeared to show the neighbor stepping directly into the actor’s path.
Ritchson opted not to pursue legal action against Taylor following the police department’s final ruling. Outside of his neighborhood drama, Ritchson has been maintaining an incredibly prolific career throughout the first half of the year.
He recently starred in the high-octane sci-fi thriller War Machine, which debuted on Netflix on March 6 to massive viewership numbers. The film features Ritchson as an Army Ranger candidate facing off against an extraterrestrial threat, starring alongside Dennis Quaid and Jai Courtney.
Fans of his most famous role also have plenty to look forward to, as Ritchson recently confirmed that the fourth season of Reacher is set to premiere on Prime Video later this year.
