‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Drops Never-Before-Seen Footage
The Mandalorian & Grogu is getting closer to its release, and new footage has now been shown to the public. The update came from Jon Favreau, who spoke about the film during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The interview also included a short clip from the movie, giving fans a quick look at what to expect.
According to what was shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the scene mixes action with humor. It shows Din Djarin and his allies in the middle of a fight while moving with a captured Imperial figure. At one point, Djarin asks Grogu to help by using a control panel. Things do not go as planned, as Grogu presses the wrong buttons. The moment adds a light tone to the situation. Zeb reacts to this and says, I don’t think he knows what he’s doing.
The clip is just a small part of the footage that has been revealed recently. At CinemaCon, more scenes were shown, along with the final trailer. The extended preview included a serious meeting between Imperial members that turns violent. It also showed Djarin in combat, fighting several enemies before escaping with Grogu through a cold and snowy area.

The story continues as Djarin meets a New Republic officer who gives him a new task. He is asked to track down a missing commander. He is unsure about accepting the mission when he learns it involves a risky meeting. However, he is told there are no other options if he refuses.
The movie follows the events of The Mandalorian, which ran for three seasons on Disney+. Pedro Pascal returns in the lead role. Jon Favreau directs the film and also worked on the script with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor.
The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to arrive in theaters on May 22. The film aims to bring the story from streaming to the big screen while keeping the same mix of action and character moments that fans know.
The mix of action and humor shown so far is a good sign. It feels close to what made the series popular in the first place. Moving the story into a movie format could make things bigger and more exciting, but it also brings higher expectations. What do you think about the new footage and the upcoming movie?
