Universal Pictures has released a new teaser for Disclosure Day, giving fans their first real look at the aliens in the film. Earlier trailers kept that part hidden and focused more on the human story. This new footage changes that and starts to show what the film is really about.

The teaser introduces a major mystery. Colman Domingo’s character talks about a secret that has been hidden for decades. He says it is a “79-year cover-up of the truth” and makes it clear he wants to expose it. At the same time, Colin Firth’s character gives a warning, saying people may not be ready and may not “accept what we know.”

The short promo also shows different moments from the film. Josh O’Connor appears in a strange field, while Emily Blunt’s character shares an emotional moment with him. In one scene, they hold hands and say, “Whatever happens, don’t you let go.” There are also scenes with children in a bright room, reaching out to each other as the voiceover says, “It’s the two of you. It’s always been just the two of you.”

The final part of the teaser gives a closer look at the alien presence. A device lowers toward a child, and an alien hand reaches out, showing the creature’s design for the first time.

The film is directed by Steven Spielberg. This marks his return to sci-fi after Ready Player One. It is also his first alien-focused story since War of the Worlds. Spielberg has a long history with this type of film, including classics like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

The script was written by David Koepp, who has worked with Spielberg many times before. The cast also includes Eve Hewson and Wyatt Russell. The film is produced by Spielberg along with Kristie Macosko Krieger.

Disclosure Day is set to be released in theaters on June 12, 2026. With the first look at the aliens now out, the film is getting more attention as its release gets closer.

This film could be a strong return to classic sci-fi for Spielberg. The mix of mystery and emotion looks promising, and the alien reveal adds more interest. Fans have high expectations because of his past films. What do you think about this first look at the aliens? Share your thoughts in the comments.
