Savage Hulk Finally Revealed in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ — Fans Get Their Clearest Look Yet
New merchandise tied to Spider-Man: Brand New Day has given fans their clearest early look yet at a more aggressive version of Hulk, and it has also added fuel to long-running theories about what the film may include.
The reveal comes from a Marvel Legends figure produced by Hasbro. The design shows a much more violent and raw version of Hulk than the calmer “Smart Hulk” version seen in recent Marvel films. This new look is closer to the classic rage-driven form fans often call Savage Hulk.
The images were first shared online by collectors and toy watchers, including Preternia, and quickly spread across fan discussions. The figure also includes webbing accessories, which has led many to believe the movie may feature a direct fight between Hulk and Spider-Man.
That idea is not new. Fans have been speculating for a while that Hulk could end up clashing with Spider-Man in the upcoming film. This latest merchandise leak has made that theory stronger, even if nothing has been officially confirmed by the studio.
The change in Hulk’s design is also important because of how the character has been handled in recent years. After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner was shown in full control of his Hulk form. That version was more calm and intelligent, but many fans felt it removed the raw power and chaos that defined earlier appearances.
Earlier versions of Hulk in films like The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron showed more uncontrolled rage and destruction, which many viewers still see as the most exciting version of the character. There was also a brief return to that style in Thor: Ragnarok, but it was limited.
Rumors about Savage Hulk returning have been building for some time. Some fans also point to other recent Marvel projects, like the brief Hulk moment in Deadpool & Wolverine, as possible signs that the studio is open to revisiting that version of the character.
Still, there is some uncertainty. In past Marvel projects, early toy designs and merchandise have not always matched what appears in the final film. Similar situations have happened before, where figures were released based on early concepts that later changed during production.
Because of that, it is still unclear if this version of Hulk will fully appear in the movie or if the design is just part of early promotional material. However, the consistency of leaks and product listings has kept fan expectations high.
At this stage, Marvel has not confirmed any storyline details involving Hulk and Spider-Man, and the film is still in development.
Bringing back a more aggressive Hulk could be a strong move if handled well. The character has felt limited in recent appearances, and a return to a more intense version could add real tension to the story. But if this is only a marketing design and not part of the actual film, it could also disappoint fans who are expecting a big crossover fight.
What do you think about this possible Savage Hulk return? Would you want to see him fight Spider-Man in the movie, or should Marvel keep them separate? Share your thoughts in the comments.
