Kathryn Hahn’s take on the centuries-old witch became one of the most beloved additions to the franchise following her breakout run in ‘WandaVision’ and her own spinoff series, ‘Agatha All Along.’ That show ended with Agatha’s death, transforming her into a ghost bound to young Billy Maximoff, a twist that left the door for a return technically open even as it closed her story in the traditional sense.

New rumors now suggest that door may swing open again. According to a report from The Cosmic Circus, insider Alex Perez indicated during a fan Q&A that Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness could return as a companion character in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ with her presence potentially tying directly into Billy Maximoff’s ongoing arc following the events of ‘Agatha All Along.’

If accurate, that connection would make narrative sense given how the character’s spinoff series ended, with Agatha remaining spectrally linked to Billy as he continues searching for his twin brother, Tommy. Perez reportedly also noted that filming for ‘Secret Wars’ is approaching, which would put any casting decisions on that front in the near future.

Despite the renewed buzz, Hahn’s own public comments have been anything but confirmation. When asked directly about a potential appearance in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ or ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ during an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hahn said she didn’t think she would be involved, adding that she believed she would already know by now if that were the plan.

That kind of uncertainty is not unusual for Marvel productions, given the studio’s well-documented habit of keeping major casting decisions secret even from the actors involved until shortly before release. Still, it means fans should treat the current rumors as speculation rather than anything close to an official announcement.

Hahn has not entirely closed the door on a return herself. She has previously suggested she would be open to reprising the role if asked, and has playfully hinted that Agatha’s status as a ghost leaves plenty of narrative room for the character to resurface in some form.
