Some actors treat a press tour as a box to tick, but Daisy Edgar-Jones has turned hers into a running fashion story. Her ‘Sense and Sensibility’ promotional run has bounced between London, Berlin, and Dublin, mixing corseted gowns with unexpectedly modern silhouettes. Each Daisy Edgar-Jones ‘Sense and Sensibility’ look seems designed to spark its own conversation online.

The stakes are high for the Jane Austen adaptation. Directed by Georgia Oakley with a screenplay by Diana Reid, the film casts Edgar-Jones as Elinor Dashwood opposite Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, George MacKay, and Fiona Shaw. It arrived in UK theaters on September 25, ahead of its October 16 release in the US.

Her newest press look, shared on X by fan accounts and outlets, leans into breezy romance with a modern edge. Edgar-Jones wears a cream top with an embroidered waist panel that folds over her pants, creating a layered effect at the hips. The images show a ruffled bralette-style top, a frilled trim peeking out at the waist, and crisp white trousers.

Daisy Edgar-Jones’s Lilac Chloé Dress Might Be the Most Romantic Look of Her ‘Sense and Sensibility’ Press Tour

Her beauty styling keeps things relaxed. She pairs the look with loose, voluminous brunette waves and a full fringe, giving the whole outfit an effortless, lived-in feel. The embroidered detailing nods to the delicate textures of period dressing without feeling remotely like a costume.

The look fits right into a trend Edgar-Jones has been playing with throughout the tour. On September 25, her pastel Chloé look offered a subtle take on the naked dressing trend, with a dress that almost matched her skin tone. Less than a day later, she hosted a special screening in a little black lace dress by Shushu/Tong, just sheer enough to show a neon pink bra and matching underwear underneath.

That approach has set her apart from other period-film stars. While many expected her to follow Margot Robbie’s lead with ‘Wuthering Heights’ and live in corsets until release, she has kept fans on their toes instead. Her stylist, Dani Michelle, who also works with Adria Arjona and Hailey Bieber, has been the force behind the eclectic mix.

The tour began with much more obvious period references. For the world premiere at London’s Leicester Square on September 15, Edgar-Jones wore a custom Vivienne Westwood gown paired with 19th-century Boucheron pieces. Shortly after, she visited BBC Radio 1 in a cropped ivory Alexander McQueen military jacket, a barely-there white bustier, and slouchy low-rise jeans.

The glamour continued in Berlin. For the premiere there, she wore a soft ivory satin gown from Giorgio Armani Privé’s spring 2005 collection, accessorized with $51,550 in Boucheron jewels. Edgar-Jones has been a Boucheron ambassador since September 2025, and the tour has doubled as a showcase for the French jewelry house.

Most recently, she took the promotional run to Australia. At the Sydney photocall in Wendy’s Secret Garden, she wore head-to-toe Alaïa from the fall 2026 collection, including a white corset knit turtleneck, a cream tiered ruffle skirt, and the brand’s popular mesh pumps.

Fashion watchers have noticed a clear shift as the tour has progressed. Early looks leaned into period references fitting for a Jane Austen adaptation, but more recent outfits have felt truer to Edgar-Jones’ own style. That balance has helped keep the film squarely in the entertainment conversation through its final promotional stretch.

With the US release still weeks away, there’s a good chance Edgar-Jones has more surprises in her closet. If her latest cream-and-white ensemble is any hint, expect the remaining looks to keep blending romance with a distinctly modern sensibility.
