‘Wuthering Heights’ Star Jacob Elordi Defends Kendall Jenner During Tense Paris Paparazzi Encounter

Fashion month has brought plenty of star sightings, but few couples have drawn as much attention as Jacob Elordi and Kendall Jenner. The pair have been romantically linked since the spring, with sightings stretching from Coachella and Hawaii to Japan and Milan. Their latest outing, however, turned into a tense moment that has now gone viral across social media.

The trip to Europe began on a supportive note. On September 26, Jenner closed Bottega Veneta’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in Milan, with Elordi watching from the front row and snapping pictures of her on a digital camera. Two days later, she walked in the L’Oréal Paris show during Paris Fashion Week.

On the night of September 28, the couple was walking back toward their hotel in Paris when photographers began following them. In footage that later spread widely online, Elordi repeatedly asked the paparazzi to stop. He then asked whether he and Jenner could simply walk home in peace.

The actor also addressed the bright camera flashes directly, asking the photographers to turn them off and let the couple go. As the photographers kept following, he eventually told them bluntly to leave. Elordi stayed close to Jenner throughout, guiding her across the street with an arm around her waist.

Jenner, meanwhile, kept a low profile during the encounter. Photos from the night show her partially shielding her face with her hand as security walked alongside them, while Elordi wore sunglasses. She was dressed in a short wrap-style dress with black heels, and he wore a white button-down tucked into black trousers.

As is often the case, the viral clip sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users poked fun at Elordi’s frustration, suggesting that dating someone as famous as Jenner comes with constant attention. Others praised him for being protective of her during the chaotic moment.

The debate highlights a familiar tension around celebrity privacy. Jenner has spent most of her adult life in front of cameras, while Elordi’s roles in ‘Euphoria’, ‘Saltburn’, and ‘Frankenstein’ have made him one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors.

Elordi’s discomfort with the spotlight predates this relationship. He has previously explained his decision to stay off social media, and his resistance to intense public attention is well documented.

He has confronted photographers in Paris before, too. Last December, at the Gare du Nord train station, Elordi removed an earbud to tell a photographer that the constant attention made it very difficult for him to live his life. That encounter came while he was traveling across Europe promoting Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’.

Both stars have made it clear they value their privacy. Elordi and Jenner have kept their romance largely out of the public conversation, rarely commenting on the relationship. Jenner has similarly spoken about keeping her relationships private in the past.

Still, keeping things low-key is proving difficult during one of the busiest weeks on the fashion calendar. With photographers stationed outside hotels and shows across Paris, the couple’s every move has become fair game for the cameras.

The viral moment offers a glimpse of how overwhelming that attention can feel, even for stars who are used to the spotlight. Whether the photographers take the hint remains to be seen.
