When Steve Rogers handed off his shield and shared that long-awaited dance with Peggy Carter, many fans believed his story was finished. Chris Evans’ hero has appeared in 9 MCU films and is often credited, alongside Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, with cementing the franchise’s success. Now, the Hot Toys Steve Rogers figure for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is giving fans a fresh look at his surprising return.

Evans is officially back for the upcoming crossover, and he’s already been part of the film’s biggest promotional moments. At D23, he joined Downey Jr. and Hayley Atwell on stage alongside Kevin Feige to present new footage from the movie.

On October 2, MCU Film News shared the first look at Hot Toys’ Steve Rogers figure. Rather than the classic star-spangled suit, Steve appears in a casual look, wearing a black T-shirt, brown trousers, and a removable brown jacket.

The head sculpt reflects a more weathered version of the character. According to Hot Toys’ description, it features separate rolling eyeballs, realistic skin textures, a detailed beard, and sculpted mid-length brushed-back brown hair.

The standout accessory, however, is the hammer. The figure comes with Thor’s cracked Mjolnir, complete with an LED light-up function and a translucent blue lightning effect, allowing fans to recreate iconic moments. Like the rest of the line, this release is loaded with detail. The Toyark reports that the figure stands 12 inches tall with 30 points of articulation, along with interchangeable hands and a display stand.

Hot Toys also included 4 interchangeable silicone arms. These include a pair of fully seamless arms pre-posed in fist and Mjolnir-holding gestures, plus another pair compatible with the 8 interchangeable hands. Collectors looking for something even bigger have another option coming. Hot Toys has shared a sneak peek of a Deluxe Version, which will include a damaged Sentinel diorama base.

The company’s product description frames the figure around Steve’s journey. It notes that after believing he had closed the final chapter of his story, Steve is pulled back into action when a terrifying new danger threatens worlds across the multiverse.

Steve joins an increasingly packed collection. Along with Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four, Hot Toys’ ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ range now includes Thor, Professor X, Cyclops, Gambit, and Magneto.

The Thor figure, revealed in September, also features a light-up Mjolnir alongside Stormbreaker, making for an interesting display pairing with Steve’s cracked version of the hammer. For longtime fans, seeing Steve back in action at all is a big deal. His return marks one of the most anticipated reunions of the film, and the cracked hammer hints at the kind of high-stakes battles ahead.

The look also teases a different version of the character. Instead of the polished Captain America uniform, this is a more rugged, lived-in Steve, suggesting his journey since ‘Endgame’ has taken him somewhere unexpected. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arrives in theaters on December 18. Until then, figures like this offer some of the best clues about what’s in store for Marvel’s original First Avenger.
