‘Verity’ Star Anne Hathaway (43) Signs off From Her Marathon Year With a Sweet Thank-You Message
Few stars have had a year quite like Anne Hathaway’s. Between ‘Mother Mary’, ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, ‘The Odyssey’, ‘The End of Oak Street’, and ‘Verity’, she promoted 5 different films in 2026. Now, with her last movie in theaters, Anne Hathaway’s final premiere of the year has officially come and gone.
The pace has clearly been surreal for the actress. Back in July, she described the schedule as extremely surreal, adding that she knows at this stage of her career, moments like this don’t come around often and certainly don’t last forever. She has managed the whirlwind while expecting her third child
Her final stop came at the New York premiere of ‘Verity’ on September 29 at AMC Lincoln Square. Her stylist, Erin Walsh, marked the occasion on Instagram by calling it the premiere finale.
The night produced one of Hathaway’s most viral moments of the tour. A video of her taking charge of the ‘Verity’ cast photo, directing photographers on the red carpet, quickly spread across social media, with fans joking that she ran the whole lineup.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight’s Emily Curl at the premiere, Hathaway also reacted to it being her last premiere before she “disappears” for a while, sharing what she’s most looking forward to as she prepares to give birth.

On October 2, Hathaway marked the end of her press run with a short video message, which Film Updates shared on X. In it, she thanked everyone for their support and for making this an incredible, unforgettable year, signing off with a peace sign, a heart, and a kiss emoji.
She also gave a playful shoutout to Zendaya, Tom, Rob, and Florence, encouraging them to bring it home. Hathaway didn’t add last names, but she shared the screen this summer with Zendaya, Tom Holland, and Robert Pattinson in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’.
The clip quickly resonated with fans, drawing tens of thousands of views as followers celebrated her remarkable run. Hathaway’s pregnancy shaped much of the ‘Verity’ campaign. She made headlines with bold maternity fashion and even explained why she couldn’t complete the spicy ‘Hot Ones’ challenge during the press tour.
The film itself rounds out an impressive slate. ‘Verity’ is the psychological thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, with Hathaway starring alongside Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, and it opened in theaters on October 2. After such a demanding stretch, Hathaway is planning a well-deserved break. She’s set to take a few months off following what has been a relentless year.

She already has her return mapped out, though. Hathaway is set to film ‘Days of Thunder 2’ alongside Tom Cruise in March 2027, which means fans won’t have to wait too long to see her back on set. For now, her farewell message feels like a fitting close to one of the busiest years of her career. It’s a gracious sign-off from a star who spent months showing up for her films and her fans.
