Inde Navarrette Nails Preppy Menswear Chic Ahead of Her Big Marvel Debut as Rogue
Few rising stars have had a summer quite like Inde Navarrette’s. The young actress went from a breakout horror hit to one of the most coveted roles in superhero cinema in a matter of months. Now, a fresh set of Inde Navarrette photos is giving fans a glimpse of her off-screen style as her Marvel era approaches.
Born Danielle Fabiola Navarrette on March 3, 2001, in Tucson, Arizona, the actress got the nickname “Inde” from her mother because of her independent nature as a child. She began acting in short films as a teenager before landing roles in ’13 Reasons Why’ in 2020 and The CW’s ‘Superman & Lois’, where she appeared in 47 episodes as Sarah from 2021 to 2024.
On October 2, several outlets shared new photos of the 25-year-old, and her look is a playful twist on classic menswear. She layers a slouchy gray cardigan over a blue-and-white striped button-down shirt, finished with a loosened burgundy tie.
The outfit continues with relaxed wide-leg jeans with cuffed hems, sleek black heels, and a structured black shoulder bag. Oversized dark sunglasses and long, voluminous dark waves complete the effortlessly cool vibe.
One shot captures her posing against a clean white backdrop, while another shows her snapping a mirror selfie to show off the full outfit. It’s a stylish reminder that she’s quickly becoming a fashion favorite as well as a rising actress.
Navarrette’s career took off in a big way this year. She starred as Nikki Freeman in the horror film ‘Obsession’, a role that drew widespread attention and helped make her one of the industry’s most talked-about newcomers.
That momentum led to a career-changing announcement. At Disney’s D23 event in Anaheim, Marvel revealed that Navarrette will play Rogue in its upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot. She joins an ensemble that includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister.

Rogue is a mutant with the ability to absorb the powers, memories, and life energy of anyone she touches. Navarrette follows Anna Paquin, who played the character in Fox’s ‘X-Men’ franchise.
The announcement sparked some debate online. Forbes writer Paul Tassi noted that Navarrette had been a relative unknown before ‘Obsession’, while also predicting she would excel as Rogue. Some fans had been hoping for Cailee Spaeny, a popular fan-cast for the role.

Still, the overall response has been overwhelmingly positive. Many supporters pointed out that delivering a standout performance is exactly how actors earn bigger opportunities, and the casting was widely celebrated as a full-circle moment for a lifelong Marvel fan.
Navarrette herself is clearly thrilled. When asked by fans about playing the iconic mutant, she described the opportunity as phenomenal and a huge honor. Her profile has continued to grow in the meantime. Navarrette has even hosted ‘Saturday Night Live ‘ in an episode featuring musical guest Gracie Abrams.

The untitled ‘X-Men’ film is set for 2028, with Kevin Feige confirming it will be the first of many projects in Marvel’s Mutant Saga. Until then, fans can enjoy following her rise, one stylish moment at a time.
