Paris is buzzing with famous faces right now, as Paris Fashion Week runs from September 28 to October 6 with the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collections. Among the stars spotted around the city this week is Samara Weaving, who stepped out on October 3 in a look that proved effortless style often beats red carpet glamour.

The trip marks a return to familiar territory for the Australian actress. Back in September 2024, she attended Bvlgari’s Calla collection launch as part of Paris Fashion Week, and InStyle has noted that her public outings have become something of a rare occasion.

That makes her latest appearance all the more noteworthy. Photos of Weaving out and about in Paris quickly spread across social media, showing the ‘Ready or Not’ star in a relaxed, sporty-chic outfit as she strolled through the streets of the French capital.

The look is built on simple pieces. Weaving paired a fitted cropped tee in a soft taupe shade with high-waisted black wide-leg trousers, letting the clean silhouette do most of the work.

A bright green baseball cap added a playful pop of color, while a brown shoulder bag with a textured finish completed the outfit. Her blonde hair fell loosely beneath the cap, and in one shot she flashed a big smile mid-stride.

Not everyone online wanted more drama from the outfit, though. One commenter on a celebrity gossip forum admitted they prefer their paparazzi looks to be a bit more eccentric, while others were too busy talking about her next major role.

That role is Emma Frost. In July, Deadline exclusively reported that director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had chosen Weaving for the part in Marvel’s upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot after an extensive search.

According to the report, Frost was the character that elicited the most thorough casting process among the new mutants. The final group of actors was tested shortly after July 4, and Weaving’s audition was considered too hard to beat.

Fans have been thrilled ever since. Under the Paris photos, one commenter even remarked that the Emma Frost casting looks stupidly spot on, and fan art imagining Weaving as the iconic telepath has also circulated online.

Emma Frost first appeared in ‘The Uncanny X-Men’ #129 in 1980, co-created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, and has been both a villain and a heroic member of the X-Men team. On the big screen, she was previously played by Tahyna Tozzi in 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ and January Jones in 2011’s ‘X-Men: First Class’.

The new film is being written by Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo, with ‘Thunderbolts*’ director Schreier at the helm. Sadie Sink is also among the cast, though Marvel has yet to announce a title or release date for the project.

Weaving’s casting caps an already busy 2026. In March, she led ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’, returning as Grace MacCaullay alongside Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood.

She has also appeared in ‘Over Your Dead Body’ and ‘Carolina Caroline’, adding to a résumé that already includes ‘The Babysitter’, ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ and ‘Scream VI’. With Marvel stardom on the horizon, her rare public outings are only going to attract more attention.

If her laid-back Paris look is any indication, Weaving is handling the spotlight with plenty of ease. Fans will have to wait for their first look at her in diamond form, but for now, her street style is giving them plenty to admire.
