‘Modern Family’ Star Sofía Vergara (54) Swaps Paris Fashion Week Glam for Baggy Jeans on a Laid-Back French Getaway
Sofía Vergara has spent the start of October treating her Instagram followers to a running diary of her time in France. The ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Griselda’ star has been posting nonstop from Paris Fashion Week, mixing red-carpet glamour with candid travel snaps.
Most of her recent posts have leaned dramatic. On October 3, the 54-year-old showed off a black Roberto Cavalli dress with gold detailing, finished with a Bulgari snake necklace, and that same weekend she sat front row at the Hermès Spring/Summer 2027 show in a black leather dress.
Then came a change of pace. In a new set of photos that quickly spread online and caught the attention of outlets, Vergara traded the gowns for a relaxed daytime outfit while sightseeing in France.
In the sunny snapshot, Vergara leans against an ornate black lamppost on a gravel path, framed by manicured hedges and grand French architecture. She wears an off-the-shoulder navy blue top, low-rise baggy light-wash jeans and white sneakers, with a dark jacket tied around her waist.
Black oval sunglasses and a gray bag complete the look. Her long, glossy brown hair falls past her shoulders, keeping things polished despite the casual outfit. According to reports, the outing included a stop at the Palace of Versailles with her son, Manolo. Vergara shares Manolo with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, to whom she was married from 1991 to 1993.
This isn’t the first time Vergara has chosen loose denim over her usual tailored looks. She wore slouchy jeans during a trip to Paris in March and was also photographed in loose-fitting denim in January and February.
The trend goes back further than that. Last fall, she paired similar light-wash jeans with a black asymmetrical top, white sneakers, gold jewelry, and dark sunglasses, a formula that closely resembles her latest French outfit.
For an actress known for corsets and bustier tops, these casual moments give fans a different side of her style. They also show how easily she moves between evening glamour and everyday comfort.
Vergara’s trip has been busy beyond the sightseeing. On October 2, she shared photos with Eva Longoria, Eiza González, and Beauline Beauty founder Fajer Fahad, calling it a good time with friends.
The next night, Page Six photographed her leaving Siena, an upscale Italian restaurant in Paris, around 4 a.m. in a fitted burgundy leather dress with matching heels. She has also shared a Bulgari promotion while in the city.
Her 2026 schedule has included both commercial and public-interest work. Vergara starred in a playful Skechers ad for the 2026 Super Bowl and teamed up with Octavia Spencer in January for the Detect the SOS campaign, which raises awareness about kidney health.
She has also appeared regularly at Paris Fashion Week events this year, including a trip to the city in March for the spring shows. Between her brand work, TV projects, and fashion appearances, she shows no signs of slowing down. Even so, fans seem to love seeing her relaxed side, and her casual France photos have drawn plenty of praise online.
