The third season of ‘Nobody Wants This’ is only days away, with Netflix confirming a global premiere on Thursday, October 22. The Emmy nominated romantic comedy returns with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody leading the cast once again. The wait has been short, which says a good deal about how quickly the series became a fixture on the streamer.

Ahead of the launch, Netflix has released an official trailer along with new key art and images. Here is a clear look at what the third season of ‘Nobody Wants This’ offers, from its release date and episode count to its returning cast, its story and its tone.

Release Date and Episode Schedule

Netflix has announced that the new season will arrive globally on Thursday, October 22. The series was renewed in November 2025, less than two weeks after the second season came out. That quick turnaround kept the production on a tight and steady calendar.

The season consists of 10 episodes, each running approximately 30 minutes. All 10 episodes are set to be released at once, nearly a year to the day after the second season dropped. Viewers who prefer to binge will have the full season available from the first day.

Netflix data showed the second season racked up 18 million views in just 11 days. That performance helps explain why the streamer moved so quickly on a renewal and a premiere date.

Cast and Returning Characters

Bell and Brody return as Joanne and Noah. They are joined by series regulars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn. The ensemble remains the backbone of the show’s comedy and its emotional range.

Andrew Rannells appears in the new season, and the cast also includes Sarah Silverman, Shiloh Bearman, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor and Tovah Feldshuh. Several of these names have been part of the show’s wider circle of family and friends.

Series creator Erin Foster is also set to appear this season as a guest star. The trailer gives a brief glimpse of her, where she is seen spilling a drink on Brody. Foster continues as showrunner and executive producer alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan.

Plot Details and Where the Story Picks Up

The official description says Joanne and Noah, after recommitting to each other at the end of last season, are moving into a home and a relationship that finally feels solid. The season is built around the small milestones that come with sharing a life. It is a quieter premise than the turbulence that defined the previous run.

Showrunner Bruce Eric Kaplan said the writers felt the couple deserved room to settle in and enjoy themselves after last season. Foster told Netflix the goal was to keep the pair fun and flirty even after they settle in. The creative team appears intent on showing that stability does not have to be dull.

The supporting characters carry real weight as well. Sasha and Esther find themselves back in the dating world. Morgan takes her career to a new level and moves closer to becoming a media personality. Kaplan said Sasha being single pushes him and Morgan toward an unspoken tension between them.

What the Trailer Reveals

Netflix paired the trailer with key art carrying the line, “It’s Perfect Because It’s Us.” The message fits a season focused on a couple who have already made their choice. The marketing leans on warmth more than conflict.

The trailer suggests a lighter season than the painful second season, with Joanne and Noah settling into a new normal. Rannells plays a new character who remarks that the rabbi blew up his life to be with her, and Joanne answers that the real story is more nuanced and romantic. That exchange points to outside opinions about the relationship as an ongoing source of friction.

Joanne also says in the trailer that people think she is not a perfect match for Noah, but that she actually is. The footage also makes clear that the central couple will not be the only focus of the season. With Joanne and Noah finally under one roof and Sasha and Morgan edging toward something neither can admit, do you think the third season of ‘Nobody Wants This’ lets the supporting pair steal the spotlight from its central couple?
