‘The Lowdown’ Season 2 Episode 4 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview

Share:

Raw Milk, the next episode of ‘The Lowdown’, airs on October 28, continuing the FX crime comedy’s weekly run through Tulsa. The season began on October 14 with a double premiere and contains eight episodes in total. The schedule is steady, so planning ahead is simple.

Viewers returning to Lee Raybon’s latest mystery have a few practical questions, from the exact air time to the right streaming service. Here is what is confirmed about the Raw Milk episode of ‘The Lowdown’, along with what the season has set up so far.

Release Date and Schedule for the Raw Milk Episode

Disney has confirmed that new episodes arrive each Wednesday after the October 14 premiere. That puts Raw Milk on October 28, one week after Truth’s Easy, which is listed for October 21.

The weekly rollout continues with A Dog with Two Tails on November 4 and runs through the finale, titled The Tower, on November 25. Nothing in the published schedule points to a break between now and the end of the season.

Rotten Tomatoes credits Raw Milk to writer Liz Blood and director Scott Teems. Teems also directed the episode before it. He is among the series’ executive producers, alongside creator Sterlin Harjo, Ethan Hawke, Garrett Basch, Ryan Hawke and Duffy Boudreau.

Release Time for Each New Episode

FX has set the season to debut at 6 p.m. Pacific and 9 p.m. Eastern, with new episodes arriving on Wednesdays. Raw Milk should follow that same Wednesday evening slot.

Canadian viewers have two options. The season arrived on FX Canada on October 14, while the Disney+ Canada stream followed on October 15. One episode guide lists the UK premiere date as October 15.

Because international platforms can post episodes at different hours, local listings are worth checking before settling in. Disney’s announcement describes the season as eight episodes released weekly, so the cadence stays consistent from one Wednesday to the next.

Where to Watch on FX, Hulu and Disney+

In the United States, the series airs on the FX channel. It is also streaming on Hulu, with new episodes released each Wednesday. That makes Hulu the natural choice for anyone without a traditional cable package.

In the United Kingdom, the second season streams on Disney+. The same platform carries the series internationally, and Hulu on Disney+ is available to bundle subscribers in the US.

Anyone still catching up has an easy path. All episodes of the first season are available on Hulu and on Disney+ internationally. Reelgood also notes that a Hulu free trial can be used to watch the new season.

Raw Milk Preview and What to Expect

Official details about the episode are thin. Rotten Tomatoes offers a single line, which says Lee goes to a hog contest. One episode guide notes that further details have not yet been revealed.

The surrounding story offers some context. Lee’s award winning story draws the attention of public defender Ginger, played by Betty Gilpin, and he agrees to help her on a case involving power and corruption among the wealthy. Speaking to TV Insider, Hawke described Lee as facing “an existential crisis about the meaninglessness of ‘success.'”

The family storyline runs alongside the case. Lee’s estranged grifter father, played by Tommy Lee Jones, arrives in town, which is awkward because Lee has always told his daughter that her grandfather was dead. Jones has teased that Lee Sr. is on a mission to rejoin his family.

Critics have been receptive to how the season balances these threads. Tom’s Guide calls it a worthy successor to the first season, though slightly disjointed. Another review says the season starts out frantic and chaotic before finding its rhythm and allowing longer, stranger scenes. With Lee heading to a hog contest while his father’s return still hangs over the family, do you think Raw Milk will lean into the show’s offbeat Tulsa humor or push the Lee and Lee Sr. conflict forward?
