‘Nocturne’ Episode 4 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview

Share:

The next installment of ‘Nocturne’ is titled “The Courier” and arrives on Friday, November 13. Apple TV opened the series on Friday, October 30 with a double episode premiere and has released the rest of the season weekly on Fridays since.

The wait between chapters is now a regular part of the rhythm for this crime drama. ‘Nocturne’ centers on a former homicide detective who relocates to a small Pennsylvania town that comes under attack by an imprisoned serial killer. Here is what is confirmed about the schedule, the likely streaming time, and what viewers can expect from the hour.

‘Nocturne’ Release Date and Episode Schedule

Apple confirmed a global debut on October 30 with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through December 25. That puts the next chapter in the middle of the season, with several weeks of story still to come.

Published schedules list the third episode, “Eyes on the Inside,” for November 6, followed by “The Courier” on November 13, “Solitude” on November 20 and “Only Connect” on November 27. Later titles have been slower to surface, with the final installments still listed without names in some guides.

The ten episode season is set to conclude on Christmas Day. That gives the series a tidy holiday finale and leaves the weekly cadence intact from start to finish.

What Time the Next ‘Nocturne’ Episode Releases

One streaming guide lists every episode of the season as arriving one minute past midnight Eastern on its Friday. By that schedule, viewers on the East Coast would find the new hour waiting in the Apple TV app at the very start of the day.

The picture is not entirely consistent, however. One report on the premiere described the first episodes as arriving at 9 p.m. ET, or 6 p.m. PT, the evening before. Another weekly guide noted that one published U.S. schedule lists the release time as not announced.

Viewers outside the United States may see a different clock time altogether. A French schedule listed the previous episode for 9 in the morning French time on its release day. Checking the Apple TV app on release day remains the safest way to confirm availability in your region.

Where to Watch ‘Nocturne’ on Apple TV

‘Nocturne’ streams exclusively on Apple TV and debuted globally on the service on October 30. Viewers in the United States can also watch available episodes through the Apple TV Prime Video Channel, which requires a separate subscription.

Apple lists the service at $12.99 per month, with a seven day free trial for new subscribers. That trial window is long enough to catch up on everything released so far before the next chapter lands.

The service is available on a range of television devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at tv.apple.com. Episodes can also be downloaded through the Apple TV app on a compatible iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC with an active subscription.

‘Nocturne’ Episode Preview and What to Expect

Apple has not shared a plot summary for “The Courier” at the time of writing. At least one episode guide still shows the synopsis as unknown. The hour is directed by Allen Coulter, with a teleplay by Matthew Newman and Jenina Kibuka.

The most reliable guide to where the story is heading is the episode that comes right before it. The third episode, “Eyes on the Inside,” finds Saga forced to get creative when communication goes dark, while Jonah investigates a cryptic symbol. That follows a setup in which a victim of the serial killer Jurek Walter unexpectedly turns up alive, and Jonah Lynn races to find the one person still missing while his protégé Saga Bauer goes undercover to get answers from the killer himself.

Stephen Graham plays Jurek Walter and Liev Schreiber plays Jonah Lynn. The cast also includes Chrissy Metz as Ida Frost and Poorna Jagannathan as Quinn. Early reviews praised Graham’s performance as the killer, though some critics found the opening episodes slow. The Hollywood Reporter found the series watchable but not fully gripping, based on seven of the ten hours sent to critics. If you have a theory about how “The Courier” might reconnect Saga and Jonah after communication goes dark, the comments are a fine place to lay it out.
