The ‘WandaVision’ Instagram Just Hid a Heartbreaking Message for Fans Before the ‘VisionQuest’ Finale
Marvel has turned the final stretch of ‘VisionQuest’ into a full-on scavenger hunt, and the official ‘WandaVision’ Instagram account is right in the middle of it. The series premiered on Disney+ on October 13 with its first 2 episodes, and its 8-episode run concludes on November 10.
Hidden codes have been part of the show’s DNA from the start. When the first trailer arrived, fans decoded text on Vision’s three-piece costume that included lines of code and hinted at his emotional turmoil. After the premiere, an eagle-eyed fan spotted that the code flashing on screen appeared to read WANDA.CREATE, a sign that Vision still carries her with him in his programming.
The latest clue may be the most emotional one yet. The new post from the official ‘WandaVision’ account shows a figure in a dim, book-lined room alongside the words “Who have you lost?” and “Billy… Tomm…,” and fans have decoded a hidden message tucked inside it: “I am The Vision. I have always been The Vision.”
Viewers who’ve kept up will recognize those words immediately. In the penultimate episode, Vision’s resolve finally shatters as he admits that Thomas is his son, that he feels unimaginable grief over losing Billy, Tommy and Wanda, and that he and the Vision are one and the same. “I am the Vision. I have always been the Vision. There is only one, and I am he,” Vision says.

The moment was a turning point for the character. Vision said out loud that he had lost Billy and Tommy and broke down as soon as he mentioned Wanda, before declaring that he was the Vision as his classic colors returned. The Instagram post’s “Who have you lost?” question echoes that breakthrough almost word for word.

This isn’t the first time the account has played with Vision’s identity. Earlier posts hid a code alongside the caption “Is it still the same ship?” One image carried the line “You see an Avenger because I am Vision,” while another showed the classic red Vision bathed in crimson light.
That question goes all the way back to ‘WandaVision’. In that show’s finale, Wanda’s Vision restored White Vision’s memories, and White Vision declared “I am Vision” before flying away from Westview. Episode 7 of ‘VisionQuest’ finally gives the answer emotional weight, with Paul Bettany’s character accepting that his memories and his grief belong to him.
Bettany has framed the series in exactly those terms. He has described it as a story about fathers and sons and about intergenerational pain, with plenty of humor and action along the way. He also explained that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including those from inside the Hex, but that White Vision struggles to connect with them.

The timing of the post is no accident. The final episode, titled “Forever,” arrives on November 10, and it’s the last chapter of the ‘WandaVision’ trilogy as a whole. It will also be the longest episode of the series, with an extended runtime of 68 minutes, written and directed by showrunner Terry Matalas himself.
The finale trailer teases a family-focused ending. It shows Vision accepting his memories and acknowledging Tommy as his son, then promising “we will find them, and we will stop them both together” and “as a family.”
Fans who want more after the credits roll won’t have to wait long. The VisionQuest Official Podcast will bring together Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica and showrunner Terry Matalas for a discussion hosted by Iman Vellani and Frank Alvarez, premiering at the same time as the finale.

With Vision finally embracing who he is, the hidden code feels like Marvel’s way of telling fans that the trilogy’s central question has been answered, even if the ending could still hold some surprises.
