Outback Steakhouse Is Bringing Thor’s Hammer to the Table in Its ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Collab
Doctor Doom has already taken over coffee shops, snack aisles, and drive-thrus, and now he’s moving into sit-down dining. The ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Outback Steakhouse collab is the latest addition to one of Marvel’s biggest promotional pushes in years. Ahead of the film’s December 18 U.S. release, Dunkin’, Jack in the Box, Burger King, Oreo, and others have all announced tie-ins of their own.
Some of those partnerships have gone big. KFC calls its tie-in its biggest global collaboration ever, built around the MCU’s newest villain, Doctor Doom, and available in 100 countries. Its campaign includes an ad showing Doctor Doom overlooking a devastated New York City after a battle with the Avengers, with one KFC restaurant mysteriously left standing.
Now Outback has given fans a first look at its own entry. MCU Film News shared a short clip from the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and Outback Steakhouse collab, featuring a Marvel logo and the word “HERO” over a smoky green backdrop. The teaser appears to show what looks like a tomahawk steak with a Thor-style handle, along with the words “hero is back,” hinting that the God of Thunder may be getting his own spot on the menu.
The teasers borrow heavily from the film’s marketing. Outback dropped a short teaser showing a hooded silhouette in front of a glowing green circular symbol, matching the green-heavy look Marvel has leaned on for Dr. Doom throughout its campaign. An earlier clip was a dark, minimalist tease in which a glowing green line of light flares across a black screen, echoing the green-lit look of Doom’s marketing.

Fans first noticed the tie-in earlier in the week. Avengers Updates reported on November 3 that Outback Steakhouse had begun teasing a new collab for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which led one fan to ask how many places are collaborating with the film.
Outback’s international accounts are already showing more. The steakhouse’s Korean accounts announced their own collaboration with Marvel Studios, showing a massive bone-in steak designed to look like Thor’s hammer. Dexerto summed it up by saying Outback might have the most outrageous offering of the bunch.

The timing is also becoming clearer. The Thor-inspired steak isn’t the only item on Outback’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ menu arriving on November 10, though Outback hasn’t announced full menu details, pricing, or any collectibles yet.
Outback stands out among the partners. As a sit-down steakhouse, it’s different from partners like Dunkin’, Burger King, KFC, and Jack in the Box, which could mean a bigger, shareable centerpiece rather than a themed combo box. A massive hammer-shaped steak fits that idea.
The fast-food chains have mostly focused on collectibles. Jack in the Box’s tease turned into the Doomsday Dipping Box, which comes with 3 sauces, including a mystery flavor called Assemble Sauce, and 1 of 8 blind-bagged puzzle magnets. Dunkin’ is offering a Doctor Doom 25-count Munchkins tin that features Doom’s mask and green hood and costs $14.99 with any 25-count Munchkins purchase.

The food deals are only part of the campaign. Williams F1 and Major League Baseball have each released their own teasers featuring Doctor Doom, and there’s also an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ edition of WWE Worlds Collide on December 15. Presales have also been strong, with reports saying the film broke Disney’s presale record in Germany, beating ‘Endgame’, and set records in multiple markets.

With about 6 weeks until release, Outback likely won’t be the last brand to join. The Thor tease also fits nicely with the film itself, which brings the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and more together against Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom.
