According to Rumors Marvel Studios Is Thinking about Adding 2 New Teams to the MCU

Although the Avengers hold the spotlight as the MCU’s primary superhero team, they’re not alone. Alongside them, we have the Eternals, Guardians of the Galaxy, and upcoming projects are going to introduce teams like Thunderbolts, Young Avengers, and the X-Men. Marvel Comics boasts numerous other superhero teams, sparking curiosity among fans about potential expansions to lesser-known teams, notably Alpha Flight.

However, according to Alex Perez, a trusted source for MCU rumors and leaks, Marvel Studios is considering two different comic book teams for incorporation, with Alpha Flight not among them, unfortunately.

There have been discussions about MI13 being developed, as well as Agents of Atlas.

The Agents of Atlas, a superhero group, first appeared in the comic ‘What If?’ #9 in 1978 before returning in their own series in 2006. This diverse team comprises characters from different backgrounds and regions, including notable members like Jimmy Woo, Namora (cousin of Namor), Gorilla-Man, Venus, M-11, and Marvel Boy, a Kree warrior with enhanced abilities. Throughout their adventures, the Agents of Atlas have confronted various threats, often spanning across international or interdimensional realms.

Given their diverse experiences, it would be fitting to include them in the Multiverse Saga. Notably, both Shang-Chi and Ms. Marvel have been affiliated with the team at different points in time.

MI13, also known as Military Intelligence, Section 13, is the UK’s agency responsible for handling paranormal occurrences. It operates within the country’s intelligence framework alongside MI5, MI6, GCHQ, and DI. Directed by the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC), MI13’s mission is to protect Britain from mystical, extraterrestrial, and superhuman threats. If rumors about Captain Britain joining the MCU are accurate, it wouldn’t be surprising to see MI13 make its debut as well, especially considering its potential ties to Midnight Sons, Black Knight, and similar characters.
