All Disney+ Original Movies & TV Shows Releasing In March 2022

disne plus originals featured

Disney+ is surging in popularity, especially after buying Marvel Studios and getting the MCU exclusively on their platform. But, that’s not all. It seems like the production of Disney+ originals has never been more active, and an active March awaits us as well.

If you want to know what Disney+ has in store for March in terms of Disney+ originals, sit back, relax, and browse through our ultimate list of all Disney+ original movies and TV shows releasing in March 2022, in chronological order.

Broken Karaoke Season 1 (03/02/2022)

Broken Karaoke is a series of Disney shorts released in 2020 and 2021, where characters from Disney Channel and Disney XD sing song parodies to popular songs, like We Wish You a Scary Christmas, etc.

The series of shorts is coming to Disney+ at the beginning of March, and I’m happy about it. If you have kids, this will be a real treat. It’s not a Disney+ Original, per se, but it is a Disney production, so I guess it counts.

Mickey Mouse Funhouse Season 1 (03/02/2022)

This is another installation on the Disney+ platform for the youngest. Mickey mouse Funhouse is originally a Disney Junior animated series revolving around Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and other awesome characters from Walt Disney’s most popular animated universe.

The series was released earlier on Disney Junior in late 2021, and it’s renewed for the second season. But, before that, the kids can enjoy Season 1 again and again after it premieres soon on Disney+.

The Dropout (03/03/2022)

The Dropout series is originally a Hulu show, but it’ll premiere at the same time on Disney+ for international audiences. Amanda Seyfried stars as Elizabeth Holmes, an optimistic, determined young woman who drops out of college to pursue her dream of revolutionizing the healthcare industry.

Elizabeth started a technology company called Theranos, based on new blood-testing technology. It’s based on a true story of an entrepreneur who quickly rose to stardom in Silicon Valley, but it would all come crashing down soon as Elizabeth was arrested and convicted for wire fraud. This one will be awesome!

Fresh (03/04/2022)

Similar to The Dropout, Fresh is originally a Hulu production but will premiere at the same time on Disney+ internationally. It’s a story about the dangers of modern dating, both through dating apps and live meetups.

Noa meets Steve in a grocery store. She’s already incredibly frustrated with horrible dates from apps, so she gives Steve a shot, and they go out on a date. Things run smoothly on the first date, so Noa accepts Steve’s invitation for a weekend getaway. However, once they get there, she learns that Steve has some… weird intentions, to say the least.

It’s a rated-R comedy horror/thriller that won’t be your cup of tea if you have a weaker stomach. Parental advisory on full notice!

Weekend Family Season 1 (03/09/2022)

The fun begins on the weekend, which is when a newly-formed stepfamily gets together for some family time. This French comedy depicts what a family life after divorce looks like – as things take a major turn after the father finds a new romantic partner.

The Disney+ Original series was initially slated for a February 23rd debut but then got pushed forward a couple of weeks. It’ll be a fun, loving, family-friendly show I’m excited to check out with my loved ones.

Turning Red (03/11/2022)

We all know that Disney is the number one studio in the world when it comes to animated films. Well, when they work with Pixar Studios, you know something special is in the works. Turning Red is a collaborated project between the two animation giants that seems like an awesome, interesting flick if you watched the trailer.

Basically, Mei Lee is a dorky teenager, to begin with, but along with dealing with adolescence and classic teenager problems, she also has to deal with a clingy mother, new relationships, and a dramatically changing body – whenever she feels any strong emotion, she turns into a huge, cute, fluffy red panda.

Some fans reiterated how the association of “turning red” in a teen girl references getting her period and learning how to deal with it, but I’ll stick to the cute, mystical family connection with red pandas.

Big City Greens Season 3 (5 Episodes) (03/16/2022)

Big City Greens was originally a Disney Channel animated series that premiered back in 2018. The second season came in 2019, and now, we are waiting for the full release of Season 3. The first five episodes, as it seems, are coming to Disney+ in mid-March.

It’s a very amusing series both for kids and adults, so if you’re a fan of Disney’s animated series, you’ll probably love Big City Greens. The story follows Cricket Green, a country boy whose family moves to the big city, while Cricket retains his mischievous but optimistic attitude.

Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 1 (03/16/2022)

disney plus Spidey and His Amazing Friends

Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a children’s animated series inspired by the Spider-Verse. In the series, we see children Peten Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales – three different versions of Spidey – team up with Ms. Marvel, the Hulk, Black Panther, and others to fight classic Spidey villains like Rhino, Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin – who are also kids.

As you can guess, it’s a series designed for younger kids, so you should not expect MCU-styled action. However, the series already premiered on other Disney channels and platforms, and I managed to get a peek at a few episodes with my nephew, and it’s quite amusing. He loves it like nothing else.

Cheaper By The Dozen (03/18/2022)

Cheaper By The Dozen is a remake we didn’t know we needed, but still, we’re getting it. It’ll be a new version of an adaptation of the novel by Ernestine Gilbreth Carey and Frank B. Gilbreth Jr. Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff star in the lead roles of the 2022 adaptation as the Bakers.

It’s a family of twelve people that goes through their hectic everyday routine and balances the chaotic nature of their household with running a family business. The 2003 version of the film with Steve Martin, Hillary Duff, and Ashton Kutcher was quite funny. We’ll see what Disney+ has in store for us with the new adaptation.

More Than Robots (03/18/2022)

Are you, or your kids, into robotics? If not, then perhaps this cool documentary will ignite a new passion. More Than Robots revolves around four teams of teenagers from all over the world who use their technological prowess to create the ultimate robot, preparing it for the global 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition.

Each team strives for the same goal, but their roads to actually getting there are quite different. The kids learn that it’s not just making a robot – much more is needed to persevere and actually get to the competition. Some deal with limited resources. Others have to halt their work due to the pandemic. Will they push through? Find out on March 18th.

Paralleles (03/23/2022)

I’m very excited about this French Disney+ original, as the adventure/fantasy/mystery premise really seems like a cool project. The story follows four teenagers having fun near the French-Swiss border, who mysteriously get separated, with two of them remaining in our timeline and universe, while the other two get tossed to another time and another universe.

The four friends do everything they can to figure out what happened and how to return to the correct universe and timeline before their lives and futures are completely destroyed. As it turns out, the event happened due to experiments of the LHC, the world’s biggest particle collider that caused a ripple in time and space. I can’t wait to see this project happen.

Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) (03/25/2022)

As the name of the film suggests, this is a documentary about Olivia Rodrigo, a Disney protege who gained recognition through lead roles in Disney TV shows Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. However, she exploded to stardom with her record-breaking debut album, Sour.

The film will follow Olivia on her road trip from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, during which she reminisces about writing the songs for her hit album. We’ll also get her thoughts about being a young woman navigating a tricky time of her life where she rose to stardom so quickly. We also get insider interviews, making-of footage from the album, and so much more.

The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild (03/25/2022)

Some people say that the Ice Age franchise dwindled in quality over the years and sequels. However, it’s one of my favorite animated films from childhood, so you better believe I’m still watching every single new installment in the franchise. Especially if it involves Buck Wild, who’s just as cool as his name suggests.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild doesn’t have the best ratings and reviews, but it involves three of my favorite characters – Buck Wild and the possum brothers, Crash and Eddie, who seek some independence and a place of their own but end up getting trapped in a cave overflown by dinosaurs. Of course, Buck is there to save them.

The Wonderful Spring Of Mickey Mouse (03/25/2022)

Disney+ recently started The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, and a short called The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse was already released on the platform. Now, we’re getting treated with an extended-length special called The Wonderful Spring of Mickey Mouse, a second special of the second season of the show.

This special will see Mickey and his friends explore nature’s springtime awakening through documentary-style storytelling. The entire Disney+ Original series is amazing, not just for kids, but for us nostalgic Mickey Mouse fans as well.

The Knights Of Castelcorvo Season 1 (03/25/2022)

This is an Italian Disney+ Original, natively titled “I Cavalieri di Castelcorvo.” The series follows a small town named Castelcorvo, which only appears to be peaceful and quiet. Four kids dive deep into a mystery to solve enigmas puzzles and conquer all their fears to become the paladins who fight off an evil presence in the town of Castelcorvo.

It’s a nice, family-friendly mystery adventure that your kids will probably enjoy more than you, but it’s worth giving it a shot.

Moon Knight (03/31/2022)

disney plus moon knight

This is probably the one we’ve all been waiting for the most, as we eagerly await the next chapter of Phase 4 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Next in line of MCU projects is Moon Knight, an epic TV series about a character of the same name whose comic book history and legacy are nearly half a century old.

Moon Knight’s Khonshu: F. Murray Abraham’s Character Explained

We follow Marc Spector, a former mercenary who had lost his life in Egypt but was resurrected by the Egyptian God of the Moon, Khonshu. Spector also suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. We get to see him navigate through multiple personalities (one of which will certainly be Steven Grant) and a mysterious force giving him superpowers – and paranoia.

Moon Knight is one of my favorite comic book characters ever, so I can’t wait to see in which direction the show will go.
