Ever since the idea of shared universes became a real thing, especially for comic book houses, both Marvel and DC have done (or will do) some things that we never thought would be possible before. Marvel recently assembled three Spider-Men, and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to fully unleash the Multiverse, at least when it comes to Marvel. The only thing greater than that would be that Marvel/DC crossover that so many fans are dreaming.

DC is also set to unleash the concept of the Multiverse in the upcoming movie The Flash, in which Michael Keaton will reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, the role he played in the 1989 original Batman movie and its sequel Batman Returns. Considering that The Flash movie will also conclude the story of Ben Affleck’s Batman, all signs are saying that Keaton’s Caped Crusader will become DCEU’s main Batman after The Flash, which will also play a huge role in the upcoming Batgirl movie.

Batgirl: BTS Images Featuring Michael Keaton Wearing A Batman Suit Revealed

Keaton filmed his Batman parts for The Flash film last year, and he’s currently busy with Batgirl film, in which he’s also going to reprise his famous role. In newly released pics, we can see Keaton’s body double wearing a Batman suit which instantly reminds us of the Batsuit Keaton wore in the late ‘80s and early ’90s. The images are also showing us that Batman is meeting Gordon, who will be played again by JK Simmons. You can check the images down below:

In the first two of Keaton’s movies as Batman, Gordon was played by late actor Pat Hingle. JK Simmons was cast as Gordon for the Justice League movie, and we also saw him in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Simmons was set to reprise the role in the Batman movie starring Ben Affleck, but that movie unfortunately never became a real thing. Still, DC and WB decided to bring Simmons back for the Batgirl movie, in which he’ll play the father of the titular heroine. Mixing Simmons’ Gordon with Keaton’s Batman will also be one of the consequences of mashing up the Multiverse in the upcoming Flash movie.

The Flash movie is set to reshape the DCEU as we know it. The Batgirl movie is set to introduce the titular heroine in the DCEU, played by Leslie Grace. The movie is also starring Doom Patrol and Mummy star Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly. The movie is set to be released exclusively on HBOMax by the end of this year. Since it’s obvious that the movie takes place after The Flash, and The Flash is set to be released in November this year, we are expecting Batgirl to debut in late 2022.
