For all of you who’ve enjoyed the series, in this article, we are going to give you a list of the ten best anime like Heavenly Delusion.

10. Dr.STONE

Where to Watch Dr.STONE? (Is it on Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, Funimation, Disney+, HBO or Amazon?)
TMS Entertainment

Number of Episodes: 35

What it’s about: High school student Taiju, who has been secretly in love with Yuzuriha for a few years, informs his closest friend Senku, a science prodigy, that he is about to confess his affections to the girl. A magnificent light comes in the sky and turns everyone into stone statues just as the young man is ready to confess his love for her.

Why it’s like Heavenly Delusion: Well, since we’re actually focusing on just anime series and not movies (which eliminated numerous great titles that would have otherwise been on the list), we decided to start off with Dr.STONE, a classic shonen title, but with enough similar elements in terms of uncovering the secrets of a strange, new world that we think you might have fun watching it.

9. Dorohedoro

MAPPA

Original Run: January 12, 2020 – March 29, 2020

What it’s about: The fantasy world in which the series is set is divided into three distinct realms: the world of sorcerers, a wealthy, colorful, and magically dominated kingdom connected to the human world through magically created doors; hell, where the souls of dead sorcerers gather and demons reside; and Hole, a filthy, degraded, polluted, and violent metropolis where humans live.

Why it’s like Heavenly Delusion: We were not sure where to put Dorohedoro on our list, but the anime adaptation of this gritty manga has a darker, yet similar post-apocalyptic setting that will be a refreshing take on the trope.

8. Deadman Wonderland

Manglobe

What it’s about: The student Ganta Igarashi lives in Tokyo, which was severely damaged by an earthquake. He is a survivor of the disaster that caused three-quarters of Tokyo to sink under the sea. Still, people try to live normal lives, so Ganta goes to school with his friends. One day, however, a strange man dressed in red appears, floating in front of the classroom windows.

Why it’s like Heavenly Delusion: Similarly to Dorohedoro, Deadman Wonderland is a much grittier take on the trope and with more action, but it is still an intriguing story that will see the characters uncover some dark secrets about the world they are living in.

He soon finds himself confronted with an organization called SERN, which is after both him and the other initiates of the experiment. After repeatedly changing the future through this news, Okabe gets caught in a worldline in which his childhood friend Mayuri dies. To avoid her death, he travels back in time and tries everything possible, but without success.

Why it’s like Heavenly Delusion: Steins;Gate definitely has one of the most complex storylines we know of, but this cult classic anime is definitely something you need to check out. It combines a lot of elements and has more science-fiction than Heavenly Delusion, but it still features enough similarities for you to enjoy it.
