Share:

Legendary Pokémon are a group of extremely rare and usually, although it doesn’t necessarily have to be so, very powerful Pokémon, generally featured prominently in the legends and myths of the Pokémon world. These Pokémon are usually unique and appear only once in the whole franchise. Legendary Pokémon are present in all the different regions of the world of Pokémon.

There are no explicit criteria that define what makes a Pokémon a Legendary Pokémon. As far as we know, the only way to determine whether a Pokémon is Legendary or not is to follow the franchise’s official material and releases, which confirm or deny this status.

This article is, as you’ve presumed, going to focus on Legendary Pokémon, as we’re going to bring you a list of the strongest Legendary Pokémon in the franchise.

Best Legendary Pokémon

Our list is going to contain the 30 best Legendary Pokémon, ranked by their strength. The Pokémon are going to be ordered from 30th to 1st place and will show just how diverse the world of Pokémon is.

30. Solgaleo

Generation: VII
Types: Psychic / Steel

Solgaleo is a Legendary Pokémon and is an integral part of the Alola myths. It has been venerated there since ancient times as an emissary of the sun and is only described in the legends as the “beast that devours the sun”.

Solgaleo’s body holds vast amounts of energy and glows radiantly when it is active. It turns the darkest night into day. The Legendary Pokémon also has a flowing mane that bears a striking resemblance to the sun.

In this trio it is referred to as the “rebel” and lives in the mirror world of our world.

It can travel back and forth between the two worlds to a limited extent. When Giratina enters the real world, its shape inevitably changes or it can only manifest itself as a shadow. It is said to open portals from time to time and appear in old cemeteries. Opening such a portal for too long would, however, result in the two worlds merging and thus plunging into chaos.

At the highest point of the crater mountain now known as the Spear Pillar, Arceus created two eggs. From these eggs, the first two Pokémon after Arceus hatched into this world: Dialga, the master of time, and Palkia, the master of dimensions and space.

Rayquaza has been living for hundreds of millions of years above the clouds in the ozone layer. If you stand on the floor of the earth’s surface, you cannot see the Pokémon, and since it seldom descended to earth, its existence was an unknown fact for a long time. In primeval times, the planet flowed through almost limitless reserves of natural energy.

In the early days, when Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre fought over dominance of the planet, Rayquaza descended from the skies and stopped the two Pokémon despite their Primal Forms, thus restoring peace to the planet. From then on, the residents of Hoenn celebrated Rayquaza as their “world saver”.

This withdrawn way of life can be traced back to the emergence of Mewtwo, in which it was endowed without a compassionate heart and thus has no problems with cold, secluded places. This is the result of a series of inhumane experiments through which Mewtwo was actually created.

It could also be based on Thanatos, the Greek personification of death, and the Midgard serpent, which heralds the end of the Nordic world, Ragnarök.

In terms of appearance, it is reminiscent of a dragon’s skeleton, with its rib cage being a cannon. In its Eternamax form, it is reminiscent of a tornado and a hand. The fingers of the hand resemble the heads of a Greek hydra, which caused a lot of destruction and whose central head was immortal.

The resemblance to a UFO could also allude to its extraterrestrial origins.

His legs are decorated here with a vertical strip of ice and an ice claw.

The huge tail resembles a torch head. A gray-colored grid surrounds the inside of the tail, which is connected to the tubes and glows red inside. A large, bushy, white-colored fur tail protrudes to the rear, which contains red-colored lines in the overdrive form.

Necrozma is a member of the Light trio along with Solgaleo and Lunala.

If Necrozma absorbs enough light, it can undergo a process known as Ultra Burst to reclaim its true form: Ultra Necrozma.

Ultra Necrozma is actually a colossal dragon of pure light energy. Its impressive size makes it the tallest Psychic-type Pokémon of all. The various pieces of Necrozma’s more common crystalline body are readjusted as a sort of “skeleton” that forms the rest of Ultra Necrozma’s body.

It is said that with this power, it would have saved the lives of people in the past who suffered from terrible floods. The Pokémon is able to control the ground and fire and is in constant conflict with Kyogre.

The trigger for these conflicts is the natural energy of the Hoenn region, which both legendary Pokémon can store in their bodies and thus expand their control over their element.

This excessive absorption of energy leads to a change of form, the so-called Primal Reversion, and both take on their true, Primal forms, which they can only maintain with sufficient energy.

On closer examination, it turned out that the eyebrow of a real Mew has been worked into this stone slab, from which the DNA of Mew was then isolated and decoded in the research institute on New Island. This would eventually result in the creation of Mewtwo.

As a Mega Mewtwo X, his limbs are clearly reinforced with muscle cords and the suction cups on his body disappear. His legs in particular are now specially designed for jumps and kicks. A collar of muscles now appears on the shoulders, making it look even more massive.
