‘Blade’ Allegedly Faces Yet Another Delay

Marvel has a bunch of upcoming projects, and many of them got caught in the mess of the big industry strike. This strike caused delays or even cancellations for lots of projects.
One of the highly anticipated Marvel movies, ‘Blade,’ was already facing issues even before the strikes. It’s a reboot of the famous ‘Blade’ trilogy, focusing on Eric Brooks, a well-known vampire hunter from the comics.
‘Blade’ has faced a rocky production journey with numerous delays. The latest rumors suggest that the film will be postponed yet again, shifting its release date from November 7, 2025, to an unspecified date in 2026.
In 2019, Mahershala Ali showed interest in portraying Blade, which was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con that July. Stacy Osei-Kuffour was brought in to write the film in February 2021, with Bassam Tariq initially slated to direct. However, Tariq left due to production changes and creative disagreements. Yann Demange took the directorial reins in November 2022, with Michael Starrbury and Nic Pizzolatto coming aboard as writers. Later, Michael Green was hired to pen a new script. Filming is scheduled to commence in late 2024 in the UK, with additional shooting locations in Atlanta, Cleveland, New Orleans, and Morocco.
The movie is anticipated to showcase Ebony Blade, which debuted alongside Blade in the film ‘Eternals.’
