Boba Fett is one of the most famous, prolific, deadly bounty hunters in the galaxy in the Star Wars universe. The cloned Mandalorian mercenary fought many battles against the mightiest creatures in the galaxy, taking on the toughest jobs. Even Darth Vader chose him to do the dirty work just because he knew Boba was the best of the best.

Through the vast years of experience, Boba Fett battled against some incredibly strong enemies. Without further ado, here’s a list of the ten strongest Boba Fett enemies, ranked from the weakest to the strongest.

10. Bib Fortuna

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Bib Fortuna was the majordomo of Jabba the Hut for decades. Being Jabba’s chief of staff, Bib handled all Jabba the Hut’s business and the Palace chores. Anybody wanting to do business with the Hut had to go through Bib first.

After Jabba’s ship exploded, we thought that Bib Fortuna had perished, but instead, the Twi’lak escaped and survived the blast. He then took over Jabba’s palace and became a crime lord.

Unfortunately for him, it didn’t last long. The twisted, pitiful Fortuna got killed by Boba Fett, who then took over his throne and the control of the palace.

While bib Fortuna himself was no real threat to Boba Fett, I’ve placed him on the list because of the powers he managed to amass through deception and trickery. Bib’s death was such a cool moment for fans to witness, and he deserves a spot on the list.

9. Asajj Ventress

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Asajj Ventress appears in the Star Wars: Clone Wars movie, comics, and TV show. She’s a Dark Jedi bounty hunter capable of incredible powers. Asajj tried to kill Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi multiple times, but the Sith never managed to do so.

As a Sith assassin, Asajj Ventress and Boba Fett crossed paths several times, sometimes as enemies but sometimes as allies. At one point, Asajj Ventress joins a group of mercenaries/bounty hunters led by Boba Fett to complete a particular mission.

At other times, the two fought on opposite sides. It’s quite hard to determine who would dominate, as Asajj and Boba have unique, different skills. Still, her amazing skills and Sith abilities surely make Ventress one of the more serious opponents Boba ever faced.

8. Han Solo

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Han Solo is probably the most well-known adversary Boba Fett ever faced in his lifetime. As the galaxy’s top bounty hunter, Boba Fett was sought after by everyone to do the toughest assignments. One of those assignments was given to Boba by Darth Vader.

Boba needed to capture Han Solo alive and take him to Vader, which we all know wasn’t an easy task – not even for the galaxy’s top mercenaries. The rogue Solo was extremely elusive, brave, smart, and most of all, lucky. However, Boba eventually captured him and led him to Jabba the Hut.

On Tatooine, a fight ensued when Luke Skywalker tried to rescue Solo. Han Solo blindly struck  Boba Fett’s backpack, resulting in the bounty hunter’s fall into the Sarlacc pit. He was presumed dead for years before The Mandalorian Season 2 confirmed that Boba survived.

Still, Han Solo almost killed him – albeit accidentally – and has quite enough awesome accolades to his name, granting him a spot on the list of Boba Fett’s strongest enemies.

7. Chewbacca

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Wherever there’s Han Solo, there’s also Chewbacca. The incredible Wookie warrior has been a fan-favorite character ever since he first appeared in the Star Wars movies. Chewie is not just awesome and funny – he’s a brilliant warrior, pilot, and one extremely strong creature.

However, in this article, I’m not focusing on Chewie and Boba facing off in the movies, but rather one of their encounters in the comics. In Star Wars: Wars of the Bounty Hunters #3 in 2021, Chewbacca and Princess Leia are trying to get to Han Solo, who’s being held by Jabba the Hut with Darth Vader present as well.

Leia and Chewie run into Boba Fett, all being there to get to Han Solo. Chewie knows he needs to stay quiet, and Boba knows it too, so they can’t use blasters. It turns into a hand-to-hand fight, and you know that a Wookie hardly ever loses such fights.

Chewbacca grabs Fett by the neck and raises him up on a wall. It’d probably be a different fight if all the weapons were available, but it’s a testament to Chewie’s strength, deserving of a spot on this list.

6. Starkiller/PROXY

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Starkiller was Darth Vader’s secret Sith apprentice, whose real name was Galen Marek. Starkiller was extremely powerful, but he rebelled against Vader after a while, resulting in the former Jedi ordering a hit on him. Of course, Boba Fett took the job despite knowing how extremely powerful Starkiller was.

During his mission, Boba Fett fought PROXY, Galen Marek’s droid, who has a holographic technology installed that allows PROXY to alter his appearance and look like anybody. While they fought, PROXY turned into Jango Fett, Boba’s father, making the bounty hunter’s job a lot harder and more personal.

Witnessing Starkiller’s might, Boba decided to avoid a frontal conflict. Instead, he used his sniper to defeat Galen. He witnessed the Starkiller defeating Darth Vader in a battle, almost killing him before getting stopped. Fett show’s a more emotional side when he chooses to let Starkiller go instead of killing him after witnessing a tender moment between Galen and Juno.

Boba could’ve killed Starkiller then, but if there were a frontal one-on-one fight, Boba would lose. Even Darth Vader lost to the guy, proving just how powerful Starkiller is – and how incredibly skilled Boba Fett is at his bounty hunting job.

5. Mace Windu

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Mace Windu is one of the Jedi, portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson in the Star Wars movies. One could say that Mace is Boba Fett’s first arch-nemesis, but also one of the toughest enemies the bounty hunter ever faced.

In the Attack of the Clones movie in 2002, Mace Windu kills Jango Fett during the First Battle of Geonosis, leaving little Boba an orphan. Boba swore to avenge his father by killing Mace Windu, and he almost succeeded – twice.

The first time, he put a tripwire bomb in Windu’s private quarters, but the Jedi was lucky and saved, as a Stormtrooper activated the bomb instead. Boba and Windu went toe to toe the second time despite Fett only being a teenager.

They hurt each other near the brink of death, and just as Boba Fett was getting ready to deliver the final blow and avenge Jango, Emperor Palpatine intervened and stopped the fight.

It’s incredible how Boba Fett could use his amazing skills to battle a Jedi master, let alone someone on Windu’s level – and almost win, despite still being a kid.

4. The Sarlacc

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Okay, the Sarlacc was not Boba Fett’s enemy, per se, but that doesn’t mean the creature doesn’t deserve a spot on this list as one of the strongest beings he ever faced – and survived. After a battle on Tatooine, Boba Fett ended up falling into the Sarlacc’s mouth – a place from which not even a Jedi can come back.

The giant sandworm closes you inside its colossal body, digesting you for years. However, Boba Fett managed to get out, somehow, as we’ve seen in The Mandalorian TV show’s second season. How exactly Boba got out of the Sarlacc pit is not explained, but whatever it is, that’s a spectacular feature.

Sarlacc: 11+ Important Things About The Star Wars Creature

One version of the story had Boba Fett forming a mental bond with the creature throughout the years and then somehow activating his jetpack, storming out of the Sarlacc while burning its gullet. Another version saw the Sarlacc spitting Boba out because it couldn’t digest his beskar armor.

However, the most plausible version, which I believe will be confirmed in the upcoming spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett, is the one presented in the canon novel Aftermath: Life Debt.  That’s the second novel of Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath trilogy ranging from 2015 to 2017.

In it, it’s revealed that the Sarlacc ended up with a huge, gashing hole on its stomach after Jabba the Hut’s ship exploded. It was probably the way out for Boba Fett, but we’ll have to see if The Book of Boba Fett gives us a more definitive answer.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Jedi apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn, who later became the mentor of Luke Skywalker, the most powerful Jedi of all time. Kenobi has some outstanding accomplishments to his name, but defeating Boba Fett in battle isn’t one of them.

The two fought in a duel on the Red Twins, two dying stars near the planed Bellassa. Interestingly, Obi-Wan Kenobi was almost no match to Fett, who outbattled and nearly killed the Jedi.

While their encounters were brief and their battle on the Red Twins fairly one-sided, Obi-Wan is definitely one of the mightiest enemies that Boba Fett ever faced. Still, fighting Kenobi isn’t the toughest thing Boba ever did, nor the strongest enemy he ever faced.

2. Luke Skywalker

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Luke Skywalker is the son of Darth Vader. Anakin turned to the dark side, but Luke became possibly the most powerful Jedi ever, getting the Jedi back to the galaxy. However, when Luke faced Boba Fett, thighs weren’t that great for him. Of course, he was nowhere near his peak power levels then, but that doesn’t take away from how insanely skilled Boba Fett is.

In the return of the Jedi movie, their fight is quite brief and interrupted with Han Solo activating Boba’s jetpack and sending him into the Sarlacc’s mouth. However, there was a fight in the comics that’s a true testament to Fett’s abilities.

In the Star Wars #6 comic issue from 2015, Luke returns to Tatooine to continue his Jedi training. However, Darth Vader ordered Boba Fett to follow Skywalker, and the two eventually clash in Obi-Wan’s home.

Luke is nowhere near Boba’s level at that point, and the young Jedi nearly gets killed before something – or someone – mysteriously knocks Boba Fett unconscious.

Defeating the guy who became one of the most powerful Jedi ever is certainly an amazing feat, well deserving of the second spot on this list.

1. Darth Vader

10 Strongest Boba Fett Enemies Ranked

Finally, the strongest enemy Boba Fett ever faced was Darth Vader. Vader was the one who cherry-picked Boba Fett as his bounty hunter, but Boba was probably one of the rare people who could talk back to the former Jedi and stay alive. However, it went even further than that in the comics.

In the 1999 miniseries called Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire, Darth Vader tries to double-cross Fett. He hires the bounty hunter to track down and kill an Imperial colonel, but at the same time, Vader hires three assassins to kill Boba s soon as he completes his mission.

In the end, the two fight each other, but even the mighty Vader can’t kill Boba Fett. The fight ends in a draw, which is a pure testament to the awesomeness, skill, and strength that the fan-favorite bounty hunter has.
