Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Daughter Carys Dazzles in Red at a Glamorous Charity Gala in Madrid
Carys Zeta Douglas has been steadily carving out her own place in the spotlight. The daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas graduated from Brown University in 2025, where she studied film and international studies, and she has already gained behind-the-scenes experience as a second assistant director on ‘August’.
Her style has drawn just as much attention as her famous last name. Carys appeared in a 2019 Fendi campaign with her mother and has often worn pieces from her mom’s vintage wardrobe, and last year she joined her father as his date at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala in New York.
Her latest appearance has fans buzzing all over again. On Thursday, October 15, Carys attended the ELLE x Hope charity gala in Madrid, where she stunned in a striking red gown that had admirers calling her beautiful and elegant online.
Carys wore the “Sayulita” dress from Redondo Brand, a long, fitted red gown decorated with red beaded floral embroidery. The design features straps, a rounded neckline, and a hidden back zipper.

The dress reportedly retails for €2,900 and is made to order, tailored to each buyer’s measurements, with the option to change the color or fabric. That level of customization made it a fitting choice for a high-profile evening event.
She paired it with a Bvlgari Tubogas clutch in black velvet with gold hardware, reportedly valued at around €4,500. Small gold hoop earrings, several rings, voluminous brunette waves and soft pink makeup completed the look.
The evening marked the 6th edition of ELLE x Hope, the Spanish edition of ELLE’s annual charity gala. The event raises awareness of cancer and funds projects of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
It was held at the Palacio de Santoña in Madrid and hosted by TV presenter Eva González. Other guests included singers James Blunt and Joan Manuel Serrat. Spanish media singled Carys out as one of the night’s standout guests. Europa Press noted that she grabbed everyone’s attention at the photocall, while Infobae described her as one of the evening’s big stars.
Online, admirers were quick to point out the family resemblance. Instagram users praised Carys as elegant, polite, and charismatic, with many noting how much she resembles Catherine Zeta-Jones.
That comparison has followed her throughout her rise in fashion circles. Her frequent choice to rewear her mother’s archival looks has only strengthened the connection in fans’ minds.

Spain clearly holds a special place for Carys. She has reportedly spoken about her love for the country’s culture and history, as well as the importance of Mallorca to her and her family.
Earlier this year, she joined her father at the “Mallorca, Land of Honour” awards on August 3. She has also spoken proudly of her parents as hard workers, while describing herself as a little shy.
Despite her film studies background and growing public profile, Carys has reportedly said she isn’t planning to pursue acting for now. She did appear in a few projects in 2024, but her focus appears to be elsewhere for the moment. For now, her red carpet appearances keep fans eager to see what she does next.
