Daredevil fans have been waiting a long time to see the famous “DD” logo on Matt Murdock’s chest, and it looks like the wait is finally over. After years of complaints that the original Netflix series left out this key detail, Marvel Studios has finally given Charlie Cox’s Daredevil the iconic emblem in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Previously leaked set photos show Cox, or more likely his stunt double, wearing a black version of the suit that reminded fans of the Shadowlands comic storyline. Those first pictures were blurry and taken from far away, so it was hard to tell if the red “DD” letters were actually there.

But then videos have surfaced online, giving us a much clearer look. This time, there’s no doubt about it: the logo is there, and it’s front and center on the costume.

Initially, it was rumored that the DD logo would be added in season 1 in post-production, but this didn’t happen.

Charlie Cox himself seems pretty thrilled about the new suit. When asked how it felt to finally wear the classic emblem, he said, “Yeah it’s badass man, we finally got there.”

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is a direct continuation of the Netflix series and is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Matt Murdock is still fighting crime in Hell’s Kitchen, but this time he’s going up against Mayor Wilson Fisk, who’s cracked down on vigilantes with something called the Anti-Vigilante Task Force.

Cox is back as the lead, along with Vincent D’Onofrio as Fisk, and a big group of returning characters, including Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Jon Bernthal. Krysten Ritter is also joining the cast. Filming for this season began in February 2025 and will go on through July.

Marvel had originally planned 18 episodes, but after some behind-the-scenes changes, the story was split into two seasons. Dario Scardapane is now running the show, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing most of the season. Other directors like Solvan Naim, Iain B. MacDonald, and Angela Barnes are helping out too.

The new season will hit Disney+ in March 2026 and will have eight episodes. It’s part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
