Chris Pratt Shares Exciting News for Fans of MCU and DCU:” Let’s Do Both I Think It’s 100% Both”
It’s been over a year since the release of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ marking the conclusion of the team’s journey as we knew it. It also served as James Gunn’s final directorial venture for the MCU before he transitioned full-time into directing for the newly established DCU.
Chris Pratt’s character, Star-Lord, received a fitting conclusion; despite losing the girl, he gained something far more significant: the chance to rediscover what he lost when he was abducted by Yondu. The film’s closing scenes depict Peter enjoying a meal with his maternal grandfather, leaving viewers with the hopeful message, “Star-Lord will return.”
Certainly, Peter Quill remains a significant figure in the MCU, being one of its most beloved characters. Thus, it seemed inevitable that he would make appearances in future projects. However, a seed of doubt was planted, given Rocket Raccoon’s assumption of leadership and the introduction of numerous new members after the disbandment of the old team.
In a recent interview with ComicBook while promoting the upcoming ‘The Garfield,’ Chris Pratt confirmed his return to the MCU. He also revealed his involvement in James Gunn’s revitalized DCU.
Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there’s something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let’s do both. I think it’s 100% both.
In Gunn’s DCU, some projects like ‘Superman’ for 2025 have already revealed their casts, but many others are still in development without known roles.
Among these are ‘The Authority,’ ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ and ‘Lanterns.’ It’s likely that Gunn will find a fitting role for Pratt in one of these. Recently, Gunn reached out on social media to find a suitable role for Dave Bautista in the DCU. This isn’t surprising, as the director has mentioned his preference for working with familiar faces, especially if they’re enjoyable to work with. He’s already cast his brother, Sean Gunn, as Maxwell Lord.
