DC Super-Pets: New Trailer Released

Next May, we’re gonna meet pets of the Justice League members on the big screen. Yep, that’s right. Even with all the upcoming and anticipated live-action blockbusters like The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, etc. coming from DC Films, there’s also DC’s League of Super-Pets, a 3D animated movie, one of those few animated DC movies that will have a theatrical release.

Although most of the DC animated movies were released exclusively on direct-to-video, DC animated movies are still very known, particularly become some of them managed to do a lot of things that live-action movies still didn’t – like that epic fight against Darkseid. Now, after numerous movies with the main heroes, it’s time for their pets to take a bit of the spotlight.

After revealing the first look on DC FanDome last month, DC now released the official trailer for Super Pets. The movie, as you can tell by the title, will follow pets of Justice League members forming their own league of superheroes, or super-pets. Superman’s Krypto the Superdog, Batman’s Ace, Wonder Woman’s pig, and other pets will try to save the world instead of their owners.

The pets of DC superheroes form a crime-fighting team of their own. The titular League of Super-Pets include: Superman’s dog, Krypto; Batman’s dog, Ace; Wonder Woman’s pig, PB; The Flash’s turtle, Merton; and Green Lantern’s squirrel, Chip.

The movie assembled a star-filled cast. Dwayne Johnson is voicing Krypto the Superdog, while John Krasinski is voicing Superman. Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, and Keanu Reeves also star.

Written and directed by Jared Stern, DC Super Pets is set to hit theaters on May 20, 2022.
